Not sure if this is the right subforum but I'll give it a shot. I am pulling RG11 from the outside pole through conduit to the house (approx 200' run). Once in the house I was planning to cut the RG11 and connect RG6 to complete the run to the demarc point (approx 75' more). Is this good practice or should I run the RG11 all the way to the demarc point?

Thanks for the help!

IMO that wouldn't be a good choice. Every connector is a potential failure point. If you can run the RG11 all the way, why not?

Thanks. Logistically it's much easier to pull wire through conduit and cut it where it enters the house. Since the electrician is going to help me pull through the conduit I did not want to waste his time while I snake it through the house to the demarcation point. Just trying to be considerate of his time.
