Did you get the 500gb or the 1TB for $300. By phone or email?

I just bought the 1TB TiVO Roamio OTA with service for $359, thru Camel,Camel,Camel from Amazon. By the time I had processed my order, the price had went back up to $393.

I cut my Dish packages to Welcome plus movie pack($5 off per month.) Pay Dish 35 per month saving me $40 per month, which will pay for my TiVo with lifetime guide in less than a year.

Get plenty of channels and do not miss the few that I previously watched.

Well my discount year with DirecTV is up and they are taking it to me. My bill went from $76 to $126, a $50 increase. I'm back to researching what my best options are for replacing DirecTV and finally cutting the cord. Question, can you get to SlingTV through the TIVO OTA? You can currently get the VIVO 1TB OTA 2016 box for $359.95 on Amazon.

[QUOTE=Viking1204;47720689] Question, can you get to SlingTV through the TIVO OTA?[QUOTE]

Tivo's don't have a SlingTV app, but I used to have the OTA and it was never a problem to access SlingTV through my Roku box or my Fire stick, so don't let the lack of an app stop you. The Channelmaster DVR has a SlingTV app, but you can't record from it, which is what most cord-cutters would like to do.

Wait for a couple of weeks to see what the Directv internet only 100 channel offering is going to be. Supposedly it will cost only$35.

I have the Amazon Fire Stick and it has Sling TV. I get great streaming pictures with the Fire Stick, but I got free Sling on a Monday and could watch the Monday night NFL game on Sling ESPN. The picture took forever to load any program that I wanted all day, but once it started it streamed without any breakups. Yet I never have any problems with the Fire Stick programs. They load fast and play flawlessly. Maybe the FREE day was overloading their system. Any sling players out there having any streaming problems with Sling.

Im preparing for a move to either Directv Now or Vue. I figure Bolt for OTA, Amazon and Netflix. Fire Tv 2nd gen for Vue or Directv, Amazon and Netflix.

When my current promotions for Directv wear out itll be about $180/month.

With OTA and Amazon/Netflix, I only need live tv for stuff like DIY, ESPN, etc... I just can't see where I keep paying normal tv prices.

BTW, is CW ever going to fix their audio? I think this is season 3 of it being 5.0 and not 5.1...

To anyone interested, I installed this in my attic (single story) out in Theodore (McDonald Rd area) and get 3,5,10,15,44,55 70+ SS which is good for the TiVo. This is the first time I could actually get WALA worth a darn. Working on cutting the cord with a bolt and fee free Roamio, coupled with Sony Vue tv.

I have one of the flatwave antennas inside on the wall, but it can be sketchy at times and won't get WALA.

looks like WKFK 7.1-7.5 (Mississippi) is finally off the air. 7.2 & 7.4 have been black sceens for weeks now, after the 1st, the other channels are black, and still broadcasting.

And don't get me started on 35.3 (Comet) resizing the broadcast.

rant off.

I feel your pain regarding the resizing issue. Our subchannels seem to be all over the place as far as aspect ratios go.

So WKFK is technically still on the air, just not broadcasting any content? That seems awful wasteful. Might as well shut the transmitter off if they don't have any programming.

Last night out of 5 channels only 7.3 (Antenna TV) had any content showing, all 4 other channels broadcasting black, some shows set to record will play through, take up space and have to be deleted (easy to see, no thumbnails).

Sure hope they can sort things out.

Looks like WKFK sold or something, now it is WXVO and only 3 channels.

7.1 Antenna TV
7.2 This TV
7.3 Antenna TV

I think signal has been improved, so may be worth scanning for new channels.

Hope they do something with 7.1 & 7.3 being the same, although 7.1 has more bandwidth.

I'd definitely be curious to know what's going on with them since they were sold to the people called Weathervision 7, LLC. The last time I visited the WKFK website (shortly after the calls changed) it still had all the old programming info, the old calls, etc. They don't seem to be in any hurry to fix things.
