HDMI Cable vrs HDMI Balun
I first admit I am on a scale of 1 - 10, about a 4 when it comes to this stuff. The company that installed my whole house AV, broke the HDMI cable that hooks my 80' Sharp Aquos TV to my media tower. Because they are stating without doing major cutting into walls to replace, they went with a Key Digital HDMI Balun to fix. 1st impression was the HDTV picture seems decent, but I am now getting no video from my DVD player also located in my media tower. Should I demand that they re-run the HDMI cable or is the Balun an appropriate fix? The TV and the Media Tower are about 15 feet apart from each other with a wall separting them.
