Moneta, VA - TVfool report URL

Hi,

Am located in Moneta, VA - on the eastern side of Smith Mountain Lake.

TV Fool report is at - whoops - forum won't allow ...how do I get the report to the forum?

I have a DB4 bowtie on a pole attached to the chimney - about 20' off the ground.

Usual RG 6 coax run of about 25' to a splitter where is goes to three locations - all 20-30' from the splitter.

I am currently not quite getting all the green channels without pixelation.

I have tried repeatedly to point the DB4 for better reception, but haven't found the "best" point ...

This is a second home -neither cable, DSL, or FIOS are available. DISH, etc is, but I don't want to pay for TV when I can't get internet ... :-)

Enlarging antenna is easy to do, but I can't change the height (my quick look at height models shows it wouldn't make much of difference anyway). My reading turns up lots of non-definitive options - would appreciate thoughts and recommendations on type, size and amplification.

Thanks!

George

What channels are you getting and what channels are you missing? I am almost sure you're missing 15-1, because the DB4 is about as wrong for 15-1 as you can get. You will need a low-VHF antenna if you need PBS.

To my knowledge, WTLU and WEDD-LD are both currently off the air.
