What channel is Get TV running on? I had ZUUS Country as 53-2 but the Get TV website says it is on 53-2.

You gotta wonder...

The awful over-sharpened letters, edges, and fonts that I reported in Jan 2014 here:
Pittsburgh, PA - OTA

...is back again tonight on Ch 19, Nightly Sports Call.

Seriously, KDKA, get it together. Does anyone there actually watch their own Ch 19 broadcasts? You can't miss how awful this looks.

WTOV rescanned when I flipped through last night and is now comprised of three channels in preparation for taking over the Fox affiliation from WTRF:

9.1 - WTOV-HD
9.2 - FOX9
9.3 - ME TV

Currently 9.2 is still running METV, but there is a continual chyron which reads "BEGINNING 8/30 METV WILL ONLY BE ON 9.3 PLEASE RESCAN."

Has anyone noticed changes to WTAE-DT signals? Historically I've had better reception in the fall/winter when leaves are off the trees but here in the last month my reception of WTAE over 4-3 (as well as their primary 4-1) has diminished to not being able to receive them at all. Has anyone else noticed any signal degradation? I'm trying to figure out what could be causing my change in reception as all my other channels have not been affected.

more KDKA incompetence:
- for past week, channel 19 Nighty Sports Call, the ticker that shows the scores looks absolutely pathetic, barely readable.
- today (Sunday), watching the Steelers pregame show at 11:30am and now the CBS Noon pregame show, the screen is highly sharpened, dot matrix look that some crackpot at KDKA must REALLY love because this problem CONTINUES to arise occasionally -- same display issue that I reported for many many months here at avsforum. Extreme jagged edges, ultra sharpened, dot matrix look. Even an issue with the commercials, too, so it is inherent in your broadcast config.

Doesn't anyone at KDKA actually watch these broadcasts? Do they all have cheap TV's with poor resolution such that they cannot see how awful this looks? Seriously, if you have to report this issue this many times over MANY MANY months, you are seriously incompetent.

We've been reporting on this issue over this forum for years. It happens occasionally on both KDKA and WPCW.

Obviously, someone over there doesn't really care about their PQ. I hope CBS in New York learns of this.

I am watching the game on channel 7 out of Wheeling. Looks a lot better there, but their sound is awful.

Glad I stumbled in here today and saw this post.

Just this morning I purchased as newer amplified antenna. On my HTPC I can choose either the OTA signal or the Comcast one. And the OTA broadcast during the Steeler game looks awful - I thought I might have a deinterlacing issue. But the cable feed is perfectly fine.

I just flipped back to my antenna feed and I was going to try getting some MPEG screen grabs, but it looks to have improved. The Steelers secondary unfortunately hasn't.

KDKA was having an issue before and up until half time of the game. When I talked to the Comcast Headend, the picture appeared fine there. Armstrong, FiOS, Consolidated and OTA all had issues. The problem appears to have been with KDKA itself. When they found out about it, it was corrected. This same issue has happened multiple times with their feed and the CW feed that they provide.

You would think that after (literally) years of this problem occurring, in and out without any warnings, that the engineering staff would have identified the source of the problem, addressed it and made sure it wouldn't rear its ugly head again. You would think that.......right?

My first post, not sure if I'm posting in the correct thread,..but here goes. I live in Cranberry Twp, North of Pgh, Pa. I need to cut the cord this year due to financial reasons. I have a newer Samsung hdtv that has a built in tuner. I will be happy if I can get cbs, abc, nbc, and fox with an indoor antenna. Yesterday went to local Radio Shack and the guy told me the amplified RCA 1650f antenna will get those channels--so bought it there for $40. Note that I do not want an outdoor antenna because I foresee problems due to the harsh winter weather here, etc. and, therefore, further costs to have someone come to always upkeep the outdoor antenna. So, only want an indoor or attic antenna. Well, positioned the RCA 1650f antenna everywhere in the room (first floor is where tv is) and I have not been able to get Wtae/channel 4/abc no matter where i put it. I can get cbs, nbc and fox clear and stable--but channel 4/wtae just has snow/fuzz. Therefore, I'm going to return the RCA 1650f. I looked on the Mohu site, put in my zipcode of 16066 and it had that the Mohu Sky 60 attic/outdoor antenna will get me the basic network channels including Abc/wtae. Anyone have any experience using the Mohu sky 60 OR have found any other indoor/attic antenna that will get me the basic network channels, including the elusive abc/wtae/channel 4 in the Cranberry Twp or North of Pgh areas? Thank you for any responses

WTAEs tower is down past McKeesport. That's why you're having trouble. Its just too far from you.

They have a repeater on Cardiac Hill in Oakland that broadcasts on 4.3 - try that. Unfortunately I live right down the street from it on Baum Blvd and I still have problems.
