Channel 41.2 is now antenna TV. It shows old shows form the 60's 70's and 80's.

Do I need to rescan hdtv to get it on cable or is it antenna only? Where is 58.2 at or is this it?

Anyone know if Insight has any plans to switch to SDV (switched digital video)?

Three TiVoHDs here, and thinking SDV would suck for me...

I have a question for anyone in the Hardin County area with Comcast HD and multiple cable cards.

What does Comcast charge you for each extra card? I know they can't charge for the first card, but I was wanting to know what they hit you for each additional card.

I think they can charge for the first cableCARD. Insight here in Louisville charges me $2 per card. I have one M-card in each of my TiVoHD boxes. Insight doesn't charge differently for M- and S-cards, which was great when I switched from two S-cards to one M-card in each box :-)

Raiden, from what I understand the FCC says the cable company cannot charge for the first outlet. Which would include cable box or cable card. If you have a cable box they aren't supposed to charge you for a basic box. If you don't have any boxes and only cards they shouldn't be charging you for the first card.

I watched most of the game off my antenna just west of E-Town and the video looked OK, but the lip sync was way off for the whole broadcast.

It must have been an Insight thing. I didn't notice any problems on my OTA signal south of E-town. I didn't notice any lip sync issues. Mostly because I skipped all that junk and watched the game.

Just thought I might mention on here to y'all that yesterday on my way home from work ( I work in Lake Charles, La.) that I saw the remote/uplink truck for WLKY at the Texas Travel Center in Orange, Texas, undoubtedly on the way to Houston to cover the final 4. It was kinda neat to see it so far from its home...

I have a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1255 (Model 22xxx, Hybrid ATSC/QAM) Windows 7 tuner... I am starting to lose channels with the Insight conversion. I still do retain 13 HD/Digital channels.

Several calls to Insight left them and me clueless. Channel 22 is their instructional digital conversion channel... says if you can tune 11.1 on your (TV) tuner, you can go boxless and 'enjoy' all the available digital channels Well, I can, but I only see 13 of the 130-something channels...

Plus, updating the MediaCenter TV guide for Insight Analog and Digital only shows the old analog program guide.

Does anyone know if I will lose all connectivity through my tuner card? 2 of Insight tech calls say I need a converter box. Not, won't do this on a tuner card and Mediacenter software... may as well uninstall it if I have to use a box and their remote.

Found the solution: follow these instructions
It is on hdtunerinfo.com, under the 7th tab on the left menu.

It shows how to find the 'unlisted' new digital QAM channels on Insight (Louisville), edit, delete, rename and tag.

Finally... thought I would have to buy a new tuner.

anybody else wish they could break their addiction with insight? All these stupid channels are making my head spin...57-2...62-8...wtf? Why can't channels just be like they were. When is this multi-room dvr coming? I need a DVR that can record OTA and I might consider cutting the cord. I watch alot of netflix and I'm pretty happy with their service. I have not heard much feedback about AT&T u-verse. Got a notice in the mail from insight that much "special" 12 month rate is up but my rate will only increase by $22/month..."only $22"...bs

Get a minitop pc and use Media Center. With a tuner card you can get OTA with guide data in Media Center plus there is a built in Netflix app. Fully functional DVR.

This has nothing to do with Insight specifically. Welcome to the digital transition. Even OTA channels have the same numbering scheme.

I have had Insight, ATT U-Verse and now DirecTV TV. ATT U-Verse is not as widely available as Insight, but I had as good of quality and was pleased with the service. I have had DirecTV for 4 months now and am very pleased with the quality and service. It will, however, tend to lose signal during heavy rain or thunderstorms where the other two did not. The new customer incentives are great for ATT and DirecTV. If you go with DirecTV and are a AAA member, you can get an additional discount, but you need to call the special subscriber number to get it (google AAA DirecTV for the number).
