Hmm - within the last hour (Sat 9 AM) it just came back to normal. Wonder what the issue was?

Really odd - it is off again. The signal has always been steady 73, never goes above 75, or below 72, but mostly completely steady at 73. I wonder if there is an issue with the transmitter,

Are you talking about a WNYT translator?

Yes it is the one located at south mountain in pittsfield a couple of miles from me. I have never had an issue with it before - it has never fluctuated. I am getting no signal whatsoever from it. I can not get rf 12 WNYT because of interference from my solar arrays, but they only block 7-13 during the day and do an affect UHF or signals at night.

You can't get WNYT on 18.1 I guess either huh?

No way to far away. On a good day I can get it on 38 (on Greylock), but I set up DVRs and I can not be fooling around changing things every few hours. I had the same problem with rf 19(45) a while ago and it turned out to be a transmitter unit. Unfortunately, there was a ton of snow on the ground and the engineer could not easily get to the transmitter to get it fixed. All my other UHF stations on that antenna remain fine, so I do not think it an antenna issue. I think there is a problem on South Mountain. Interestingly, there is a lot of construction (road construction) happening in that area.

Sinclair announced recently that they're starting a diginet featuring science-fiction shows and movies that is expected to launch in the fall. Since it's owned by Sinclair, i would expect it to be on a feed of either WRGB or WCWN at or shortly after launch. Maybe it'll replace ThisTV if/when WRGB gets rid of that.

Interesting. We'll see what happens.

In the meantime... still waiting for developments on 10.3

Well I got that wrong - COZI did not appear today. In fact all of the Media General stations subchannels (formerly owned by Young) that had LWN are dark. Some talk of BUZZR
