You probably do not have a low-VHF capable antenna.

Ah you are correct. I didn't realize there was high and low VHF. 45.3 comes in fine so it doesn't matter.

Thanks.

I noticed the Kingston WRGB channel 24 translator was off the air on Friday night (9/23/2016) and still seems to be off the air today (9/24/2016).

Last time I know it was working was on 9/23/2016 around 2 PM EDT.

After one of my periodic TV rescans, I see LAFF has finally been added on 8-3, so a Fox subchannel (along with OTB still on 8-2). Cool.

Anyone having issues with 6-1 WRGB today? My signal strength is about 38% according to my TiVo.

Why is there NO perfect equipment, only compromises?

How has 14-1 through 14-8 been for the rest of you?

For me at least it seems they come in ok when channel 8-1 decides to come in. That's like 10% of the time.

Does any one know if WYBN plans to update their signal anytime soon?

New Channel 17.4?

I see a new channel appeared today, 17.4, but there is no programming so far. I hit the Info button on my TV and it displays "WMHT-Ki Programming". Maybe they are starting a "kids programming" channel?

WMHT must figure their audience values quantity over quality. Sadly, they may be right. They're already running their HD channel at the lowest bit rate of any of the local stations, around 8-10 Mbps. Next lowest is WCWN, ~10-12 Mbps, but they're running 2 HD and 1 SD channel. The other HD channels are in the 12-15 Mbps range.

It will be interesting to see how much their HD feed suffers from the added SD channel. They could probably regain a bit of quality by converting their HD channel to 720p. That's what the PBS affiliate in Tucson does. They operate 2 stations, KUAS and KUAT, with 1 HD and 2 SD channels on each. The HDs are the same, the SDs are different. PBS is 1080i and that's what they send to cable but they broadcast 720p.
