Recording using directional antennas?

I apologize if this is an FAQ - but if you want to set up your DVR (e.g., an old TIVO box) that does not have directional control, is there a way to time the pointing of directional antennas to the stations needing recording?

Or are there good DVRs, etc., that record OTA HD TV signals that have directional control systems?

How do you guys do this sort of thing?

There are no DVRs with that functionality.

If you've absolutely got to DVR programming from multiple directions and you've already given up on trying some sort of combining, install separate antennas, each with their own DVR.

There is a PHD-VRX DVR from ePVision that has dual antenna inputs, which is a very nice feature. However, it reportedly has some problematic issues as a DVR when compared to Channel Master or TiVo. There is more info in the HDTV video recorders thread.
