Thanks for the info on WCPO-DT.
I noticed compression artifact problems during Colonial house(as is usual for PBS HD/WIdescreen programming when the station is running 2 SD services+1080i HD) from WCET-DT on 48-1 AND even the SD on 48-2(looks like to me 48-1 is getting priority via Stat mux) and WPTD-DT Dayton(16-6 HD), but didn't look any worse than "normal" to me on 48-1 or 16-6. I thought Colonial house looked quite good on KET4/WCVN-DT -- Didn't really notice any problems with compression artifacts there. I was watching it both nights on my smaller 26" 16x9 display though.
WHIO-DT is on RF channel 41, they don't currently send channel remapping info via PSIP.
No new stations have signed on in our area since Early 2003, The only one left with a digital channel allocation currently is WPTO-DT 28, which should hopefully be signing on from WXIX tower soon.www.antennaweb.org
has all the stations in the area listed(14 DTV stations currently on air in Dayton/Cincinnati area), just punch in your address. See Second post of this thread for info on Cincinnati/N KY digital stations(+WKOI) Follows is a quick list of the Dayton digital stations you've got a shot at:
WBDT-DT 18 (26-1 remap) - WB Dayton - SD only No HD yet - Might be tough to pull in from N KY - They are at full power, but it's only 35KW ERP. WLEX 18 Lexington, KY is probably a substantial co-channel issue for you.
WRGT-DT 30 (no remap) Fox Dayton w/Fox WS - might be a long shot from N KY due to their directional antenna pattern, and WXIX-DT with a strong signal at your location on 1st adjacent channel.
WHIO-DT 41 (no PSIP remap) (CBS Dayton - HD)
WDTN-DT 50 (remap to 2-x) (ABC Dayton - HD)
WKEF-DT 51 (no PSIP remap) (NBC Dayton - HD)
WPTD-DT 58 (remap to 16-2~6)(ThinkTV/PBS Dayton -PBS HD channel on 16-6 6pm-6am nightly)
