they haven't officially launched yet, and are still doing testing. doing a manual add channel 26 shows up on my TV as 13.1 MeTV. but when actually added my only see, I believe, 13.6 13.7 13.8 13.9 these channels are all showing up on my TV twice, because rf 24's PSIP is also displaying the exact same channels. I have seen them with a blank screen, video and audio, and completely off the air.
13.1-13.10 are already on air.
I know all 10 of the 13 subchannels have EPG data over the air, but not on TiVO. Do you get any info on channels 33 and 39 from Fresno either??
I have been trying to get TiVo to include the guide data for the Merced Zip code, but they move slow, lol.
Are there any other channels you don't get info for?
KNXT 49.1 (rf 50.1) the Catholic channel only shows as 50-1 for me, no name or EPG.
I really wanted to get the KSDI network channels (VF 33.1,33.2,33.3, 33.4, & 33.6; RF 44) sent via low power over Cocola Broadcasting, but no luck; I believe the tower for KSDI is at 100° to my location and 27 miles. France 24 is on KSDI.
When I lived in Old Town Clovis a year ago, only 3.1 miles E/SE from my current address, I used a Winegard SS-3000 Amplified Indoor UHF/VHF Antenna. At times I would get KSDI from just manipulating those indoor rabbit ears. I had an western saloon hearth with a high top (7') I could set the indoor antenna on.
I now am using a CM 3016, roof mounted. Originally I was using a preamp, but I was overshooting and had to remove it; I did test to alternate positions before removal, and did not receive KSDI.
I have yet to ground-out my antenna, and I know there should be some RF reduction, but not tons. It will be grounded with a #6 AWG, but mine will not be a lightening protection system, only a solid, static discharge grounding. Separately, on the opposite side of the house, I have a Pixel AFHD-4 for AM/FM HD Radio (specifically HD-FM channels for my HDT-1X and KNBR for the Giants). Collectively, these coaxial cables all feed into the same wall panel space (including an outgoing coax to inject power via a PS-1403 and an incoming CATV coax line – not yet connected). I don't seem to be having any interference issues. When I ground the AFHD-4 I hope to reduce a little static from KNBR (AM 680). The power injector coax feeds up to the roof line PS-1403, splits off to the antenna connection and separately to an 8-way Leviton passive splitter (47690-8) mounted right next to the PS-1403. The 8-way then feeds 7 locations in the house, including the family room.
I have also built a toggle switch for OTA/CATV with PL-259 F-type adapters that works beautifully. http://www.dxengineering.com/parts/mfj-1702c
I now live next to C.S.U., Fresno; I'm getting many channels with minimal pixelation, the exception being some issues with 13.3 (Movies!) and 13.8 (Untamed Sports). These two channels are part of the new Cocola Broadcasting-VenturaTV venture for channels 13.1-13.10 (KVBC). These channels receive more power than KSDI, but I believe they all are located approximately 100° from my location, at a distance of 27 miles. GPS tower coordinates: 36.746,-119.283.
I’ve currently placed my antenna at approximately 75°, this is a hair farther south than mid-way between my ABC/NBC/CBS/ KVHF/KAIL at 43° and FOX/PBS/KJEO(MeTV) at 103°. This location allows me to get 52 channels, but not KNXT (49.1), not KSDI (7 channels), and not KTFF (VF 61.1) in Bakersfield. I can get KTFF if I aim the antenna at 126°, but I then lose KVHF (5 channels), 3ABN (in Del Rey, CA - 5 channels), and KJEO channels (6) & KMSG channels (3). If I move to exactly 103°, I think I lose some of KVHF.
Any ideas folks? Is it a line of sight issue? I know there are a couple of pines along the sight path (103°) off the back of my house, approximately 75-100 feet away.I feel there might be a trick to lock in KSDI and KNXT though, although it has eluded me. Again, using a preamp has only caused failure of PBS and most other lower-power channels.
The eScapes network on KSDI had also been frozen on one scene for the last 3 days.
The KVBC 13 broadcast towers are on Meadow Lake. Same place as most of the major networks. Due to my distance, I get KNXT, KMSG, and KKDI all within a close enough directionality to use only one preset on my antenna rotor for then all.
Meadow Lakes towers (90 Miles south) being the closest Fresno stations to me, and KNXT (140.3 Miles south) I can't give you any real help, just ask if you have checked tvfool.com with your specific address to see if you might be in a dead zone?
I'm 103.8 Miles north of KSDI, so I do suffer daytime fade. It has been really strong the last few nights.
I know at least as my house last night, I was getting Bakersfield tv with stronger signal strength than Fresno, even getting KUVI 45 on my secondary antenna, pointed north towards Sacramento.
@bfermming Ch 33 (44) KSDI blew its major amplifiers, and is only operating on a 25 Watt exciter right now. You should be able to get it sometime next week when it is back up to full power.
A lot of Fresno is unable to revive it now.
The caveat of course is not being able to get all the channels. I realize also I may have not perfectly assessed KNXT, and not checked 50.1 (only 49.1). My television does not give signal strength reads (but I will check the submenus). It is a Sharp Aquos from 2007.
Thank you for the details regarding where the other channels fall on the dial, (39, 41, 43) I am receiving all of these. If I can figure out KNXT, I will be more than happy until KSDI goes live again.
Strangely, I think there were two ZUUS channels - one was country, and I thought the other was Latin, but I cannot remember. I know there were only 2-3 "39" series channels.
KNXT's PSIP injector is broken, so they broadcast and are received on 50.1 OTA.
Does anyone know anything about K13ZL-D? I have never seen it on or anything about it before today. It was in earlier with a strong signal, but no picture??
27.5 (rf 32) is now a Hmong channel.
Univision 21 (rf 20) has added 21.3 Escape and 21.4 Grit, both English network's, launching full programming on Monday.
Channel 16 is now on the air with color bars. PSIP is showing 36.1, 36.2, 72.1,& 73.1.
KBID 31.2 is no longer My Combat Channel and is now MiCasa a English language channel with a Latino focus.
Many more changes coming in the near future.
