There's nothing free from TWC.

And my engineer friend at KXAN says the .2 is not a large priority with them right now.

All clear QAM are gone for me. I suppose it's now time to install that antenna on my roof.

I installed a antenna 9 years ago and don't regret it. With an HTPC, I have a nice DVR. Whenever I go to a friends or family members house with TWC and we are watching locals, I'm always surprised how bad their picture quality is compared to mine.

Update on Cozi TV on the KNVA subcarrier. They're shooting for May 10. As it was put to me..."that's a target, not a deadline".

May 1 will be here soon enough. I wish some station would have Antenna TV, which I watched when I was in San Antonio. It is 4-2 OTA for those that can receive it.

Guess it's slipped some since Mark emailed me. I'm still going to rescan on May 1 just to see.

I noticed channel 23-2 with "APEX" displaying in an oval shape with a background that changes colors. Anyone know what it is and why no 23-1?

I rescanned and not there. Guess May 10 maybe. I hope someone adds AntennaTV as a subchannel too.

New update on CoziTV - Now it looks like June 1, which BTW is also the same date that Buzzr TV launches.

FWIW, the analog repeaters of KNVA (KHPX, KHPZ, etc.) have been converted to 1080i digital...

Thanks! Was someone here in Austin supposed to pick up Buzzr?

The paper is reporting that we are getting 36.2 and 7.3 sub channels. The writer makes no mention of lower quality video. I guess the new standard is streaming to a tablet.

COZI-TV is up and running on 36.2. There are still some adjustments to the station ID (eventually it won't be on all the time), but it's supposed to be 16X9 (when programming permits) and looks pretty good right now.

Thanks for the heads up. Windows Media Center 7 sees COZI (36.2) just fine (no guide listings yet), but it isn't seeing BUZZR (7.3). I could add it manually, but of course, no guide listings.

I can pick up both 7.3 and 36.2 from E of Circleville (between Taylor and Granger) on several units (TV directly and one DVR) but not on several other DVRs despite repeated scanning. Anybody know the technical details for each channel to force the manual addition to those units?

KXAN is digital frequency 21 and KTBC is digital frequency 7, so if you are manually tuning them 21.2 an 7.3 respectively.

Thanks - Still can't get one of the DVRs to lock into the signal for either channel, even though the strength meter on the TV (which has found and locked them) indicates both are strong.

I'll keep trying, though.

Is anyone getting program listings from 7-2 or -3, 36-2 or 62-3, and if so on what device, especially if it's a DVR? I'm getting nothing from these on DISH, but have listings on the KLRU subchannels.

Glitches in KXAN HD feed to DirecTV

The glitches (momentary loss of video and audio) affecting the KXAN HD feed to DirecTV seem to be getting worse. Anyone else observing the same?

Guide data for all of them, on my Tablo. See www.tablotv.com. I have the four tuner version. It does allow streaming to your devices (like Aereo used to) and I have watched TV during lunch at work.

Edit: Also guide data for all of them directly on all TVs as well.

Thanks for the info, but I'd rather be able to use the OTA data, rather than pay someone to gather it for me. It's there, but no program service seems to pick it up, except for the PBS station.

I've noticed that via OTA for the past few months. I thought it was just because I had too strong of a signal and might be getting some multi-path interference. I guess not??

I suspect that issues with the OTA signal and the DirecTV feed will be different. I have never been able to get a clean OTA feed from KXAN, but the DirecTV feed is usually relatively problem-free. Until recently.
