Stan, analog was snowy....and I am north and west of Cedar Run in Leelanau County .....so far no 9 or 33....I am OK as I have satellite, but many of my neighbors depend on OTA and just trying to help them.

Edit.....I can assure you that coverage map is not accurate

When did you try to scan Falcon7? WWTV has been off since 12:30PM to do some tower work. They said they would be back on between 4 and 5pm.

What kind of antenna are you using? Rabbit ears won't cut it. My Dad has a VHF up in the rafters.

What did they mess up over at WWTV? It has been out for several hours now and they are not giving a ETA on the fix.

They have tower guys there today to do work in preparation of moving FOX to ch. 32. Channels 9 and 32 will be on the same tower. Things didn't go as planned and the work is taking longer than expected.

Wonder why they got it up this morning and then they took it down again. Suffice it to say they probably aren't working on it further till tomorrow.

Yup 9 is back here. Is 29's signal as strong as 9's?

Here in Traverse City, near Best Buy, 29.1 is 97 (out of 100) an 9.1 is 84.

17, 29 & 47 are on a tower in Kalkaska county. That would be quite a haul to get to you.

Yeah I'm just tickled pink that it appears that 9 and its sub-channel will work here. That way if WWMT does some kind of a preemption I can still get 9.

Just rescanned and lost all but 33.1...WTF?

I originally was getting all three stations at the Kalkaska tower farm and now PBS and ABC are gone. Only 5% signal for 29.1 and nothing for PBS. 9, 10 and 7 are only at 5% as well but I knew they were going to be tough to pull in especially since I am using a homemade UHF coat hanger antenna at the moment.

Good Morning Forumites,

I thought that WPBN was keeping channel 50 on the air..but it was gone this morning. Also, is anybody getting WGTU or are they still off the air?

Work is still being done on 29 and PBS goes off the air at midnight. You'll need a VHF antenna now for 7 & 9.

50 is working for me. I'm recording off it as Tivo's guide hasn't caught up with the all the changes, yet. Yes, WGTU is down again.

Nothing wrong with coat hangers!

Wonder if my amplified rabbit ears will pick up anything in my direction with a decent signal...

I'll try it later today and see what I get. I know I need VHF for 7 and 9 but I did get them in analog, albeit very poorly, before the switch with my cardboard and coat hanger antenna. I though that I at least might have a chance. My homemade antenna is similar to the Channel Master 4221 so it can pick up high band VHF. EDIT: I looked and the 4221 performance and it isn't so hot at VHF. The 4228 is much better at high band VHF and that was the one I was thinking of. That would explain the poor VHF although I did get snowy analog so again, I though I had a decent chance.

I also have a Terk HDTV amplified antenna and a cheap monoprice.com antenna to try out as well. I am going to buy a high gain VHF or combo antenna at some point but wanted to wait and see what the switch over would bring before I invested in anything.

The switch wasn't the greatest for me. All I get now is CBS, FOX (9.1,9.2), and PBS(21). Lost ABC(13) and can't get NBC(7) still. I did get it some last night, but I am guessing it will be a constant struggle. Been gone all so do know if they worked on it at all today. Hopefully in a month or so, I will be able to get a VHF antenna that will work set up in my room. Renting and therefore can't put it on the roof.

using an all-channel stacked antenna. most of these people have no intention of putting the money into a tower and large yagi on a motorized mount. ...just not worth it. I cannot understand why 9 and 33 just ignored a lot of their northern viewers.
