I had a little time today to modify the script - if you're interested I'll post it - basically it lets you define the HDHR id and tuner number as variables at the top, a default channel to use if you forget to tune one in using the gui, and it logs everything directly to a file automatically (optionally, including the "...." output vs. showing it in the console). I ran it on KTVU (48) for 2 1/2 hours tonight and here are the final stats:

Code:
-- Video statistics --
16876354 packets received, 8366 overflow errors, 0 network errors, 0 transport errors, 0 sequence errors
ch=auto:48 lock=8vsb ss=74 snq=85 seq=100 bps=19392576 pps=0
tun: ch=auto:48 lock=8vsb:677000000 ss=73 snq=85 seq=100 dbg=12687-9988-1400/-19
dev: bps=19392576 resync=0 overflow=0
ts:  bps=19392576 te=0 miss=0 crc=0
net: pps=0 err=0 stop=1

I'll run it on KNTV and KSTS as time permits. Thanks again for sharing that - this is really interesting to learn.
