Good to always rescan every couple of months, never know what will show up. As for targeted audience channels, I have found ones I like. I find Bounce TV programming great. The tourist channel is also informative. And if it wasn't for the Univision feed, I wouldn't be able to see Formula One racing live.

Oh, and LAFF is a targeted channel too.

Looks like the same clip that's running on the Laff website. I think it is set to go live tomorrow. Looks like Grit will be going live on 46-3 sometime soon. I started getting guide data for it yesterday.

Wikipedia has info on Decades. As of now Atlanta is not
listed.
The way Subs are starting to pop-up all over the place --in 40 days will see. If you read carefully over at wiki Decades did soft launches earlier in the year. Looked like a lot of testing.

It's amazing how fast these subchannels are popping up all of the sudden. I read an article somewhere recently (wish I could remember the link so I could post it) that these retro based subchannels are turning into pretty decent money makers for the broadcasters. I guess that explains why we are seeing a deluge of them. Also, I am impressed with the PQ on channel 46 after adding the Cozi and Grit subs...all three look really great. Wish I could say the same with the subs on channels 2 and 5.

Yea
46 is 1080i
2&5 720p

I don't know how much that really affects the 480i broadcast that they all use.
Except for channel 34 which I think has 2 on 1080i.
When 2.2 first aired it really looked good.
Did the Tech's TURN-UP the Juice!!
Grit really has looked good i'll agree with you .

Meetings on ATSC 3.0.
Maybe the Broadcasters know something we don't. Building up on all these subs.
Knowing that the new system will Be 4k on the primary channel and near 1080
on the subs.

It would seem logical that the subs on 1080i channels would have poorer PQ since the 1080 signal uses more bandwidth...not the cases here. I could have sworn that Cozi on 46-2 was in 720p because it was so clear, but it is only 480. I really like Movies! on 5-2, but the PQ is so bad that it is like trying to watch a Youtube video on a dial-up connection. Lots of pixelation.

It is good to see the new sub-channels. An article I was reading mentioned that a lot of sub-channel programming is directed to the over 40 age group since many of the cable networks are programming for the 25 to 40 year olds. I have also talked to many people who have just had it with the expensive programming of CATV and Satellite services. Many, like me, are pruning expenses prior to retirement. With OTA plus a couple of streaming services we are completely satisfied. It is nice to have the additional subs, but we got by with only 3 channels in black & white when I was a youngster. I get more on today's OTA channels than when cable first came to the area.

I remember cable was to have no ad's. 1971 we were the 1st in our neighbor hood to get it.
The main thing was stable channels. Trying to pick up channel 17 was awful. Cable made it much better.

Trying to get the Decades Binge Calendar to come over.

Ah! I remember the early days of channel 17 when it was originally WTCG in the '70s. I remember lots of wrestling and Bill Tush.

I remember it well..........
We had a sleep over or spend the night as it was called in
the 1960's.Mom had just WON a 19" GE TV. Dad had made a tv table for it.
We all watched for awhile then BANG...BAM...BOOM.

The tv was next to stairs 1 of the legs was caught by cover
under it.
The Tube survived!!
Cleaned it up put it back on TV Table. It worked for 2 more years. 1st thing I saw on the tv was the 17 Jay-Bird for
WJRJ.
Then we got a 23" Zenith Console Color tv.
Zenith---"The Quality goes in before the name Goes on".

I put Dish on Pause ($5/mo) and got Sling TV, ($20/mo). Probably going to get a Channel Master OTA DVR. It has free 14 day channel guide. http://www.channelmaster.com/Antenna_DVR_s/336.htm

If you have a Roku, check out Tablo before committing to the Channel Master. It does have $5/month fee (or you can pay yearly or lifetime), but it runs on Roku so you would have everything on one box. The nice thing is, if you have multiple Rokus, you only need one Tablo to feed all of them because it works over your network.

I have the Channel Master DVR+ and love it since we seldom have time to watch our favorite shows when they are aired. I think we are seeing some great strides towards a la carte streaming video rather than buying huge packages of channels from cable and satellite providers (most of which we never watch).

Thanks for the link. I looked into it. The only thing that made me hesitate was one user saying it works best on 720p which makes me wonder if it compresses the signal before broadcasting on your wifi. Haven't decided yet though, but thanks for the info.

Can't comment about the CM w/DVR, but the CM7001 that it is [was?] based on I got to replace a dead CM7000 was a bad mistake in that my old HD RPTV doesn't display 720P, which is what the 7001 apparently outputs correctly, so when set to 1080i it causes all channels to be way over scanned, cutting off the tops of folk's heads as well as sports, weather, etc., top/bottom scrolling banners, etc., and stretching 4:3 just shy of a full 16:9 in width with no way to adjust any of them.

Factor in that it's not nearly as feature laden'd or user friendly as the 7000 and it's a major rip off IME since at the time none of this info was available on-line or would have researched other options, so Caveat Emptor applies. To add insult to injury, they refused to allow me a refund even though it was the last day of the return policy.

Can't complain about its PQ through component though, all but the weakest HD channels look pretty much as good as BDs/1080i and my neighbors with Comcast, AT&T, Dish claim that except for really fast sports action it looks as good or better than theirs through HDMI/1080p, though I imagine some of it is due to mine being a large CRT that's been professionally calibrated Vs whatever cheap factory set LCD they have.

Might be right. It's probably best to use a wired connection when possible especially when viewing live tv. Live tv will use more bandwidth unless it's being transcoded (compressed) than say Netflix or Amazon Prime Video therefore causing more stuttering or buffering. In reading over the Tablo forums, most of the complaints about connection problems come from people using it over a wireless connection.

Here is Decades homepage, they are binging Dark Shadows. I believe they said Twilight Zone is next. http://decades.com

And just found out from my wife one of our neighbors is the programming director for Laff. She was at Bounce previously and they started up Laff and she transferred.

Tivo announced that they are adding Plex next month. Now if they would add Sling TV as well (at least to the Roamio OTA), that would be a pretty nice set up.

Allegedly Echostar has something to do with making the Channel Master DVRs so that might be why its being offered that way.
