Adding 30.2 and 28.2 to KVLY's broadcasting family opens the door for earlier weekday newscasts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and a simulcast of the noon news on KXJB, he said.

I know hotdogs mentioned above he(?) is getting 30.X and another member posted they are getting 28.X
30.x out of the towers at the VNL studios and north of East Grand Forks, 28.x out of the Blanchard tower

If the LPTVs are transmitting CBS in 1080i, might they change CBS on KVLY to 480 widescreen (I doubt CBS would let them drop from a full power signal) and put other Weigel channels removed from KRDK on KVLY?

That must have been some helluva skip last night given the broadcast patterns of both. Pick them up with good signal? I was writing 30 off completely at my location - but maybe there might be something to work with.

I have a great antenna. Get krdk several nights a week and kxjb 11 many nights late with the skip. Love ME Tv Saturday nights. seems to move up the valley nicely . even get PBS 49 from bemidgi once or twice a year. really hoping wdaz adds more than justice to replace the cw.

K30LR-D (Grand Forks) went on the air today, seems to have PSIP issues now. CBS in 1080i on 30-5, CW in 720p on 30-6, blank image in 480i on 30-7

I was thinking they may use the 11.x virtual channels for those also, similar to what kstp/kstc do with 5.X in Twin Cities..

I find it interesting that Midco added KRDK-TV HD on channel 4. Usually the single digits are the SD versions, and the 600 range is the HD signals, but they put the HD right on channel 4.

Maybe a sign of no more SD, and just going with the HD channel only?

Amen to that. Every channel having 9:00 and 10:00 news is a bit excessive. And why all the push for 9:00 news - even my 90 year old grandma can stay up for the 10:00 news. Just sayin.

I dont see that happening. After all the Forum article mentioned KVLY saying CW on 28.2 & 30.2
In other markets where Gray did this (put stations on the LP) they didnt combine PSIP with the "mothership"
