Obviously you don't have Nine Mile Hill to deal with.

I wish I could transfer my signal to you and Jon. I won't bother watching it since it seems 2/3's of their shows are chopped by a minute or more to show the dog pee infomercials. I've removed their channel from my DVRs so I won't inadvertently record anything from them.

If I understand correctly, janryAVS is saying the show is getting interrupted with those commercials. Fast forward all you want but a piece of the show is still missing.

WSMV Signal Strenght Drop?

Has anyone else seen a drop in WSMV? I can't pinpoint when it happened...maybe even as far back as before Christmas.

I'm thankfully close and with nearly all towers I care about in a narrow spread. Ever since the digital transition, I've had WSMV (and most other full power channels) all in the mid to high 90s on signal strength.

Never noticed this during bright stuff, but was finally getting around to watching some old recordings of a show from last winter on WSMV and noticed lots of pixellation in the dark shots. Figured it was a one night thing of weather or whatever since the show had sat so long on the recorder I couldn't remember weather back then. But then subsequent shows I watched off the recorder, only on WSMV, were pretty poor on dark shots too.

Finally, got my lazy self to check signal strength, and sure enough..the high 90s are still there for the other channels I'm concerned with, but WSMV is now 82-86 percent.

Nothing else in my setup has changed in these 5 or 6 years (however long since digital transition), so wondering if others have noticed any signal quality drop?

Thanks

I don't know if I'm seeing the same thing, but I have noticed pixelation on recordings of Revolution on night scenes on OTA and on U-verse. Maybe it's solar interference?

I've noticed the same thing on WSMV...looks like narrow pixelation on night scenes especially (OTA and DirectTV).

Precisely. The commercial ends and the program is already in progress.

ok I understand what you are saying now. One reason it happens on MeTV is some of their most popular half-hour shows ran 26 minutes in its original uncut form so a LOT of editing has to be done before it can be seen on commercial stations today. The economics of television was different 50 years ago when shows often had one sponsor and commercial breaks were less frequent.

Yea, the problem is not on my end. It is on the web hosting side. They are upgrading their servers to a new platform. They say they know about the problems, and that other sites, they have, are also experiencing the same thing. They are trying to resolve it as soon as possible. Trust me, when I announced the site three days ago, the site was running smoothly. So, hopefully, they will have it fixed either tomorrow (04/28) or Tuesday (04/29).

I'm in Murfreesboro and have an antenna, 2012 model, in my bonus room and the farthest I am able to get is 35 miles no matter which way I point it. I have another antenna on order and trying to decide if I I will put it outside or in the attic. My hope is to get channels from other areas.

I live in the Fayetteville area. About the farthest stations I've ever received have been out of Louisville, KY and Chicago, IL. These were received momentarily during a tropospheric ducting event. I can get the Huntsville stations all of the time, but the only Nashville station I can receive on a regular basis is WKRN. The other stations are spotty unless the atmosphere is just right.

I live east of Nashville. I can pick up 31.1 but not 42.1. Before the digital transition, I could pick up 42 (it was "snowy"). I think they both transmit from L&C tower. On the Longley-Rice maps, I am in an orangish area for both of them. I have a fairly large antenna in my attic. I have turned it to maximize the signal strength on 31.1. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Maybe I jumped the gun on this. They may not be broadcasting at all. I will bring a portable TV to downtown next week and see.

Trip Ericson has reported on RabbitEars.Info that ABC's Live Well Network is going away.

WKRN,

How about Antenna TV, Movies!, or something new in the planning stage?

Thanks!

I contacted WKRN's program manager today and requested AntennaTV. The more people that contact them (and ask for the program manager) they may consider it.

I called yesterday too. I meant to ask if they were going to keep LiveWell until it leaves in January, or replace it earlier (hopefully with AntennaTV). If someone could find out, that would be great. The receptionist said when you call to definitely ask for the program manager (who she said was out of the office for a while right now).

Michelle Dube is the Program Manager. PLEASE email her at mdube@wkrn.com and tell her you would like WKRN to add AntennaTV. It appears that they are looking at adding to /or replacing the LiveWell network. Please email her and let her know how much you would like to have AntennaTV.

Also, I created facebook page to promote bringing this channel to Nashville...please join it..see below:

Tom, thank you so much! Can you join and share my new facebook page below too?

I am believing emailing Michelle Dube will help. I know she has talked to AntennaTV at least once but the more feedback from viewers the better.
