In Inglewood my signal is fluctuating all across the board, too. From 9 to 13 to 25 to 54 to 81 to nothing. DB is ranging from 0 to 31, constantly changing. Just want to thank you all for your posts. Seeing that everyone else was having reception problems saved me from getting the ladder out and heading to the roof for nothing. Hopefully given a little time they'll get it fixed, nice to know they're giving it a shot.

Note - this from the antenna connected right to the TV. I know my TV server setup adds noise so it wouldn't have been as accurate.
Here's the update from DTV America this afternoon:

Thanks Chris. We think we identified the issue and it's the ISP's broadband connection. Our equipment is brand new and best in class Rhode and Swartz transmitter.

Hope to get it resolved by tomorrow night.

Just turned my tv to 40-1. The best signal I"ve seen in a long time! No pixels, no interruptions, etc.

My friend near downtown also says Buzzr on 40.1 is coming in a lot more stable now, but the signal is still variable, a bit low and a few drop outs. Far better than it was but not perfect - anyone else noticing the same?

Great reception in Inglewood last night, first time we've been able to watch in weeks. Thanks again, everyone.

I lost all of the channel 40.xx yesterday afternoon (Monday, 1:00 PM) and still don't have a signal. Is this only my problem? I still get everything else (including all 6.x channels).

I enjoy reading this forum.

thanks,
kp

Totally dark here too in East Nashville. My TV is showing a signal strength of 84 and SNR at around 20DB but there's nothing there. My TV server (using the HDHomerun Extend) won't lock in at all. Hopefully this means it's just down for service.

Channel 40 went to no service at exactly 11:00 yesterday morning. It was still broadcasting a signal. I was receiving it with a signal of between 92 and 100 but without a picture. I'm wondering if they were not working on their broadband signal. It came back today at exactly 11:00 this morning. The signal seems much more stable now here in Gallatin with a signal strength of 85.

It looks like channel 6 has changed. Retro TV is now on 6.6 and 6.5 is now a western channel. The others seem to be the same as they were.

For a long time I cannot get channels 4 (RF10) and 8 (RF8) for approximately 80 to 90% of the day. FYI, I live in Hermitage, TN.

I used to almost never see any glitches on channel 4 although I've been seeing them a bit more lately. Still, though, these are isolated disruptions to the picture in only part of the screen, nothing major. During my recording of yesterday's NBC Nightly News, I saw that happen several times in the course of the 30 minutes, which is very, very odd for me. I guess I should go up in my attic and make sure my VHF antenna hasn't fallen. That said, I'm still getting VHF channels 5 and 8 perfectly, as always.

Edit: Never mind. I checked and my homemade rabbit ears had fallen out of the rafters where I had it taped. Put it back and secured it with a thumb tack. Channel 4 looks like it's back to perfect for me now.

There appears to be a new channel on 6.7. It is EBRU. I don't know anything about it but it is there in place of the shopping channel.

Yeah, I just happen to come across it just a few minutes ago. It is called ebru. I checked out its website at http://ebru.tv, and it mostly airs recent episodes of shows like Robin Hood, Doctor Who, Sue Thomas FBEye, and others. Right now, it's an episode of Doctor Who with David Tenant. That is all I know about it.

FYI I discovered that the show "Tour Of Duty," the CBS show from the late 1980's, is now on 30.2 from 11 AM to 12 Noon, Monday through Thursday.

New channel on 42.4

There is a new channel on 42.4. It is Biz TV. That is all I know about it. Also channel 31 is back on the air after being off the last 2 weeks. It is now coming in stronger than channel 42 (10 points higher instead of 10 points lower). I hope they have done something to improve their signal, but I won't know for sure unless it stays higher.

The BIZ tv network that is now on 42.4 is a business network although I have noticed some news on it. Channel 31 is still coming in here with a signal strength in the 70's compared to the upper 50's for channel 42. Most unusual as channel 31 used to have a signal strength here in the lower 50's. I don't what they did to their transmitter but it has helped their signal here.

About a year ago I called the owners of Channel 31 and they said that in the future they were planning a power increase. He did not want to give a date, sooner or later, but said it was in the works. Has anyone heard anything about this or were they just blowing smoke?

The FCC freeze on facility changes, including power increases, remains in effect. So there is nothing they can do.
