Tropo? Maybe, maybe not. Depends on where you are.

WSWF-LD filed their license to cover two weeks ago for their channel 45 transmitter.

15 KW omnidirectional transmitting antenna, 360' tower in Union Park that is shared by WRCF and WZXZ, neither of which are expected to put much signal in the direction of Ocala,

In Winter Garden, I've gotten something trying to hit on RF 45, but on the odd occasion that it has enough strength to decode, the call letters are WGCT-LD, but it also might be WTBT (and they haven't changed their call letters in their encoder)... I guess if WGCT/WTBT could reach the 70 or so miles here on that same 15kw, then it's plausible that WSWF's signal could make it to Ocala?

Don't know when it started, but WOTF 43.3 finally popped up with Bounce programing. It's still on WRBW 65.3 however. Any speculation on what's going to happen to 65.3?

More than likely Buzzr will be moved to 65.3 and 65.4 will be removed.

Is anyone able to get WEFS (WBCC) in Melbourne? I'm trying to get 68.3 IND which use to come in and out but now I don't get any signal. I'm using an indoor antenna. Any suggestions?

WRBW 65.3 has switched from Bounce TV to Heroes and Icons . Bounce TV is now only on WOTF 43.3

I get the WEFS channels (68-1 thru 68-4) just fine.

However, reception depends on a LOT of variables.

I am using an attic-mounted Winegard Freevision antenna with a Winegard low-noise signal amplifier. WESH (2-1) was always the channel I had the most problems with.

What do you mean by an "indoor antenna?" An RCA table top set of rabbit ears from Walmart?

Here in Melbourne, we're about 35 miles from the broadcast antennas for WEFS. So you have to work for it a bit.

First, get your antenna as high as you can. That will give you the single biggest improvement. A rooftop mount is best. I found my attic-mount to be sufficient (with a signal amp). An antenna in the room will probably disappoint.

Second, make sure that your antenna is properly oriented to best receive the signal. TV Fool is a website that is a huge aid in this.

Third, use the largest antenna you can. If you're at all handy, the Gray-Hoverman is a very easy and inexpensive antenna to build that will give surprising good results. Even if you leave off the reflectors. Search this forum for details.

I am having a video issue that occurs only on WKMG OTA channel 6. Fairly frequently I am seeing a horizontal "noise" or sync issue for the lack of a better name that is depicted in the attached pix(if attachment was successful. Anyone with info as to a suspected cause will be appreciated. Thanks
Hank

I am located SW of the "Orlando tower field" about 18 miles from most all the Orlando - Daytona beach stations...

I'm no expert, but I'll give it a try....
It could be that your antenna isn't pointed correctly causing multipath issues.
If you are running an amp you maybe overdriving your signal.
I see you're using a DVR...try running your antenna directly to your TV to rule out any DVR issues.
Good luck !

Thanks for the shout..
I'm aligned to within 5-10 degrees of the Orlando area stations with the issue only showing up on the WGMK 6.1 channel. The problem has not been evident during the last bunch of weeks, maybe due to less tree foliage.... No amp and tried direct connect...

Just remembered a GREAT link that shows the "before" (analog) radiation patterns and the "after" digital RP's of the Orlando area.... This may be of help in aiming the "signal catchers" whatever type you may use... I have not "yet" read ALL of the previous posts, but, if this info is not new, it needs repeating..

P.S. Goto:

Scroll down and pick YOUR market location for info....

Just did a rescan and noticed that Mega-TV is no longer on 9-2, or anywhere else.

I don't speak spanish, so I normally delete the spanish-language channels from my TV's channel list.

WFTV has put up their weather feed again. Is this a temporary renegotiation with Mega-TV? Or are they getting a different network to replace them?

I have to admit, I do like having a 24/7 weather channel on OTA, but I understand that WFTV can probably generate more revenue with a network broadcast on that subchannel.

I took a quick look at both the website and FB and while folks mention we no longer have it here in Central Florida I can't find any reason why. Seems it's been off for a few weeks now.

re: WKMG OTA broadcasts

For a couple of weeks now, I’ve seen constant flashing/blinking of CBS broadcasts. Once in a while, a commercial or part of a show will be clear but the majority of the time it’s like the framerate is off (like the light from a ceiling fan blinking/flashing from the fan spinning)

Anyone else seeing this?

Someone at WFTV & Mega TV needs to update their web pages.
On the WFTV side while they still list Mega, if you click on it you get the old "This page can’t be displayed".
On Mega TV's actual web page they're still listing themselves on 9.2 http://mega.tv/senales-orlando/

Anyone happen to notice WFTV quietly flip flopping Laff & Severe weather center 9? Laff has moved to 9.2 & the weather is now on 9.3. Does it really make a difference?
