To get VOD, I had to have Comcast come out and check my system. VOD has pretty much the same signal strength requirements as high speed internet, so if you don't have enough of a signal going to the box, it won't register. The installer ended up going into my cable closet and splitting the cable so that my box gets a direct line and then the cable goes to my house splitter.
He also ended up having to swap out my box because the first people in the Roseville area to get the new DVR box actually got Sacto boxes. He gave me a Roseville box and they still had to hit the box from the head-end to reset it. About 45 minutes later I finally had VOD.
Not sure that it was worth all the trouble, but I at least have it. My primary concern was KOVR-HD...because of my signal strength issues it was not coming in either. So, that was resolved at the same time.
