I did not know that we have a brand new Spanish HD local news!! It's on KRTN-LD RF channel 33.3 or remapped to ch. 47.1 KTEL-LD. The real KTEL-LD is not on the air in digital they are still broadcasting in analog on RF channel 47.

They can been seen on 5 PM news it's looks like they beats the pants out on KLUZ-DT which they still show upconverted SD Spanish local news.

Anyhoo, still no news on GET TV or other new sub channels coming our way here in Albuquerque's TV market.smile.gif

My KOB CH 4.1 reception became very weak in past few weeks - weak signal, constant freezes and pixelation. I'm located about 50mi from Sandia, use ~10 db antenna, and all the other major and minor ATSC channels are still strong and clear. Has anything changed about this broadcaster?

I noted that KTVS-LD, has been off the air for at least 2 days now. Must be all the engineers are taking advantage of nice weather on the Sandia Crest antenna farm.smile.gif So who knows what will bring in a new sub channels or a new LD stations like KNMQ-LD on RF channel 43 or K38IM-LD on RF channel 14. Still no news on Get TV Network on KLUZ-DT or KTFQ-DT so keep eye on that too....

So's that's the news!!

I was barely able to pick up KTVS before they went off the air. Now they are coming in clearly, so they must have fixed something.

Let me know what kind station it is?

Thanks!

KTFA-LP is back on the air on analog ch. 48 but with much weaker signal, so keep the eye out for possible digital flash cut!smile.gif

KYNM-LP on analog ch. 30 is off the air. KYNM-LD is on digital rf ch. 51 but plans to move to rf ch.21 your TV's tuner will remap to ch 30.1 to .5.

Still no news on KNMQ-LD rf ch. 43.

That's the news!!

Well, KYNM-LPb is back on the air on analog ch. 30 and the signal is little better I don't understand why they want to keep the analog channel?tongue.gif Anyhoo, KTFA-LP went off the air for a week or so don't know what is going on here, they have not yet to flash cut to digital signal yet.

That's the news in the sleepyhead Albuquerque's TV market!smile.gif

It's looks like KYNM-LP, on analog ch. 30 went to normal full power and the picture looks pretty good. But no new digital channels to be found on OTA.

So that's the news for now.smile.gif

Now back to TV DXing.!biggrin.gif

KNMQ-LD, is back on the air in RF ch. 43! But the programing has much left to be desired it's shows Relay of KCHF-DT from Santa Fe it's all church channel on 43.1, but however on ch 43.2 Weather Nation in now in HD at 720p but need to fix up the video frame rate to 60 FPs since right now I am looking euro 50 Hz 25 FPs. Where is the Closed Captioning no where to be seen.

Waste of bandwidth on ch. 43.730 relaying KDAZ-AM with static video slate card with the wrong call letter K43HW, it's should be called KNMQ-DT.

But other than that the signal is pretty strong for 15 KW ERP from Sandia Crest mountain.smile.gif

KQDF-LP is back on the air on analog channel 25 transmitting from the west side near I-40 and Coors road, showing Spanish programing's. The signal is very poor thanks to a bad location.

As for KNMQ-LD is back on the air on rf ch. 43 showing 41.1 relaying KCHF DT "REG" 43.2 WeatherNation channel and 43.730 relaying KDAZ-AM

Not much else going on around here in Albuquerque's TV market.tongue.gif

So that's the news!!biggrin.gif

Other news updates about KTEL-LP or LD, has filed a application for channel 15 as a digital companion channel. They plan run at 15 Kw ERP on Sandia Crest Mountain.

Same goes For Santa Fe filed to the FCC for channel 16 also will be running at 15 Kw ERP.smile.gif

A few years ago KQDF had a CP for a 15 kW digital signal from Sandia Crest on Ch 33. That has disappeared from the FCC database. I wonder what happened?

Makes me wonder why, if they want to stay in broadcasting business then they need to file a flash cut to digital for KQDF-LP channel 25. Or sell it to somebody else that can do broadcasting right.smile.gif

Well, there's lot's of stuff going on here!

KNMQ-LD on rf ch. 43.1 is testing the sub channels line up. 43.1 is Heartland country music network, 43.2 Weather Nation but showing color bar in 480i mode, 43.3 relaying KCHF-DT "REL", 43.4 QVC but hidden, and 43.730 or .5 relaying KDAZ-AM "REL TALK RADIO".

I noted that KOAT-DT now sending 1080i instead of 720p mode.

KQDF-LP is back on the air on analog rf ch. 25 still at the same TX location from the west side.

They are still fine tuning so you just never know happen next!

KCHF-DT, fr ch. 10.1 now has just added 2 new subchannels. Listed are 10.3 Heartland country music channel, 10.4 relay of KDAZ-AM "REL" pretty much the KNMQ-LD did too.

Any ideas why KOAT-DT went to 1080i instead of ABC's feed of 720p?

Stardude, I noted that Retro has finally come to Albuquerque's TV market! But where is Get-TV and Antenna TV network, boy this TV market is foot dragging compared to other TV market's around the country which are speeding up. We are midsize to large TV market here in Albuquerque, NM. We can do better than that. Btw, we need real time closed captioner for our local news on KOB-DT, KOAT-DT, KRQE-DT and KASA-DT please no script just want real time ad lib. Nuff said!!

I noticed the Wiki page for NM broadcast TV had old information, so I updated it, including all the channel swapping happening at KNMQ.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_..._in_New_Mexico

If you see anything incorrect or missing, please correct it or let me know and I can. I can't get KCHF, so I don't know if they are mirroring what's happening on KNMQ. I also don't know what's going on outside of Albuquerque other than what's on a station's web pages. I didn't include the station in Taos because, according to their web site, they aren't broadcasting consistently yet.

I'm in Los Alamos trying to get the ABQ stations. My house has what looks to be something similar to a Channel Master 3020 antenna and I put a Channel Master CM-7777 preamp on it. I'm mainly going after the following channels:

KYNM-LD
30.3 Retro TV
RF Channel 51
47 miles @191

KNMQ-LD
43.1 - Antenna TV
RF Channel 43
47 miles @ 191

I can sometimes get KCHF-DT RF Channel 10 which is a mirror of KYNM_LD.

Last night's signals on my HDHomeRun
10: 70% strength, 49% signal quality, 100% symbol quality
43: 84% strength, 65% signal quality, 100% symbol quality
51: 82% strength, 58% signal quality, 100% symbol quality

I ordered a Solid Signal HDB91X antenna to replace the existing antenna in hopes of increasing the signal strength and quality of 43 and 51. Any idea if this will work or what a better antenna alternative might be?

TVFool shows the following from my location:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...ec2f158344d963

I've got Comcast cable so the only channels that I don't get from them that looked interesting OTA are Retro TV and Antenna TV. I'd love to also get COZI TV but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere near here OTA.

What are people in Los Alamos successfully using for OTA?
