However bad TimeWarner is, they have been reliable for me as an ISP (30 MB/s down, 5 MB/s up).
They keep increasing the prices every year, but that's the way it is with monopolies.

I use Dish as my TV provider.

What he said. TWC is a 'meh' TV provider mainly due to the price increases and all the stupid fees for little added benefit. But as an ISP they are a-ok. Service quality tends to be fine. I don't know what kind of modems they push these days but even on lower packages I would make sure either they give you or you purchase a Docsis 3 modem just on principle. That'll be extra insurance that you will get your promised speeds.

WTTE OTA Signal

This thread has been dead for a while, but I thought I'd revive it because I've had trouble for the last few days with WTTE's OTA signal. It keeps dropping out every few seconds. Is anyone else seeing this?

Thanks.

Is there any provider in Columbus that offers download speeds faster than TWC's 50Mbps? Is there a better thread to discuss this?

TWC Business Class goes above 50, I think. Can't imagine what you'd have to pay for it tho......

WOW is in my area (when I type in my address in https://sales.wowway.com/OnlineStore/ )

VERY tempting. I pay TWC $60/mo for 30/5 service.
I can get 110/10 for the same amount (12 mo) and $70/mo for the following 12 mo.

The question is: What is the reliability and quality of customer service? Will I get a discount if I have my own DOCSIS 3 modem? [Edit: it appears that you can lease a cable modem for $10/mo. So these prices are without including that lease]

I pay TWC $90/month for 50/5 and it appears there are no alternatives in Powell, OH.

I only get about 16/2 at times during the evening (prime time), which is infuriating.

Time Warner seems to be adding higher/faster speed tiers across the country. The largest markets already have them and Columbus is usually in the second phase.

Made the move and signed up. $60/mo (locked for 2 yrs) for 110/10 service using my cable modem.
