Here are the channels strengths according to my toshiba tv;

3.1 96
5.1 93
8.1 45
10.2 100
12.1 87
15.1 93

Any ideas?
Most of the "homebrew" antennas are UHF centric and only pickup VHF channels in areas with strong reception.
8, 10 and 12 broadcast on VHF all other Phoenix stations broadcast on UHF...10.2 is actually on UHF(sub-channel of 45), you may need to modify your antenna to add "rabbit ears" to it to pickup VHF stations better.

Got a letter from Cox the other day saying that a lot more channels were moving to SDV. It included all the most popular ones including TBS, ESPN, USA etc. so I am assuming that means all cable channels will be SDV now.

Aren't they just the SD versions on the old "analog" tier, like TBS 49, not the HD versions, like TBS 1049?

Cheers, Dave

That could very well be the case. I don't have the letter in front of me anymore and all I remember is the networks that were stated, don't remember the channel numbers but it would make total sense to just be doing it with the SD channels.

I have the letter and they are all SD channel numbers, except for HBO 2 at 1201. I suspect this is a precursor to going all-digital.

Cheers, Dave

Going all Digital should free up enough bandwidth to remove all the Essential TV Pak channels off SDV.

The new Mini Digital Adapter, to my knowledge, does not support SDV, so you would think Cox would make sure that device worked with all the Starter and Essential Pak channels.
Cox New England is using the Evolution HD uDTA

Not sure if Cisco markets will use the Evolution or a Cisco HD DTA
