I'm in Ann Arbor and received the same flyer everyone else has been talking about, listing the same new channel lineup.

The only glitch so far is they have RTN showing on the channel for "This" and vice-versa...

The channel moves and the new channels are two separate events. Depending on area the new channels may be months off.

From what I have heard it went to everyone.

I do have HD, but have seen no flyer. Guess I'll have to pay the office a visit.

I got the flyer here in Marysville, no channel changes yet, not even the re-arrangement of the SD channels that were supposed to happen on May 27th.

No, It arrived separately, I just got mine yesterday. It as two papers, an updated channel lineup, and another offering a free HD with triple play promo, AND more informaiton about the coming new Channels, it specifically lists Ann Arbor, Ypsi, etc. If they are purging the analog channels (FINALLY) then that should definitely give them the bandwidth for these channels, even here in Ann Arbor, so I'm hopeful. That said I'll believe it when I see it. Every other time where they've added more than 2 new HD channels at a time, there have been all kinds of glitchy issues for weeks/months afterwards.

The new HD channels are coming, but as noted it may be 60-90 days until all the changes are made.

It may be shorter for some areas and longer then 90 days for other areas.

I didn't see 60-90 days anywhere in the fine print of what they mailed out but even 90 days out is far sooner than I expected. I didn't think Ann Arbor would have a line-up anywhere close to what they're planning now until years from now (after they implement SDV if they end up doing that).

Yeah, seems like it will be longer than 90 days here on the Southeast Michigan system in Macomb Co. I've yet to see any of the changes in the channel guide that were on the Comcast website (admittedly these were only channel reservations for future HD), and haven't received any notices about standard basic channels going digital.

That's because it wasn't in the fine print or anywhere else on the info that was mailed.

I don't think that's in the plans, at least for the next year or two.

Finally got mine. It came on Saturday, but because of my 7pm - 5am work schedule, I didn't check the mail until this am. There are about 6-8 channels I look forward to getting, especially IFC-HD. I did notice a couple of mistakes in the channel line up list. It shows the SD Hallmark movie channel on 177, and we don't get it in A2. Also, it says 239 is reserved for a future HD channel, but it is actually Toledo PBS' HD channel.

Does anyone know what "LMN HD" is?

Comcast has said that they will not be doing any large rollout of SDV. See...

http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/C...ndwidth-102221

...doesn't mean they won't do it in a limited fashion but I think it would be safe to assume that if you are on a 860Mhz or 1Ghz system you won't be seeing SDV.

Media Center has not caught up with the latest Comcast additions. The channel moves (local subchannels and Sports Entertainment) are in, but the new HD channels are not. Hopefully on the next update.

Yes. I have been watching FBN HD and CNBC HD+ on and off during the day. And I also have done quick checks of the other channels, all had programming.

In Ann Arbor, they actually sent a message via the STB saying they were changing channels, and providing a web address to print out the new/coming lineup. I don't believe they've ever done that before... Finally, a little common sense and courtesy from Bombast. No new channels yet, though...

I was at a friends house tonight, trying to watch the Wings game, Charter could not make the Versus HD feed work. So, watching the Wings lose in SD, it was quite the night.....

Is it possible that another channel is interfering with 4-1 and 4-2 all of a sudden?

We have a large Winegard roof mount antenna with a pre-amp and I can usually get all of the Detroit channels at 90% or better.

Taking another look tonight, all is well. Not sure what's going on with your reception.

How long have you used OTA at the location you're at now?

Over two years with the current setup. Never any issues until now. Weird. I'll be home Saturday and can try tweaking the rotor angle a bit, but it seems strange that it can be so variable all of a sudden.

Not really. You're dealing with stuff that's exposed to the elements. Contacts corrode. Moisture seeps in. Birds land on things and bump things. Chimpmunks gnaw through things.. and that's just my experiences so far this spring!

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

Wouldn't all of my channels be wonky if that was the case?

Not necessarily. A little corrosion can easily affect one frequency or one narrow band of frequencies, but not others. Or, something else could introduce interference or multipath on one channel but not others. It's worth a check if you haven't looked at things in a couple of years.

Ken, does Comcast have no plans for Macomb county at this time? I noticed all of the areas you list are in Wayne, Oakland, etc.
