SEC alternate channels?

Hello -

On Comcast, does anyone know what channel(s) are the alternates for SEC Network (ESPN calls it SEC Network+)? They have two games on at 3pm Saturday. I'm in Canton BTW.

Thanks!

I looked through the listings in the Xfinity Remote app for iOS but didn't see any except the main SEC channels, SD and HD. I will mention that the WatchESPN app for AppleTV carries both SEC main and alternate channels, but that's of no help if you don't have an AppleTV.

Thanks Roger. I do have an AppleTV and that will work, but when I channel surf college football I like to have everything in one place, less hassle, etc.

Oh well.

Looks like it's channel 785. I was too quick on the draw!

I am pleasantly surprised by the addition, considering we are outside the SEC footprint. more than happy to get the channel, even if its SD only

Well, BHN does have the SEC Network in HD. And Fox Sports Detroit Plus still runs some of the SEC Network games.

Speaking of BHN /Rant on

Anyone want a laugh? Here's my latest Bright House MLB-EI issue. So far, this year, I've had five unnecessary truck rolls, made 30 telephone calls and filed one complaint with the FCC. All over MLB-EI on my CableCARD devices. They've de-authorized the package five times, this season. Sometimes, I call and they get it back. Other times they tell me they don't support MLB-EI on CableCARD devices (The complaint to the FCC rectified that). I'm now celebrating my first solid month of MLB-EI without any interruptions.

So, Bright House decides now would be a good time to charge me for MLB-EI.. AGAIN (already paid for this year's season twice, now). Not only that, but the free Sports Pass they were supposedly giving me "for my trouble?" Yeah, charging me for that, too.

And, due to the outages across the city, the billing department is not available, this week. How convenient.

If I only had an alternate source for internet...

/Rant off.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

Isn't Uverse available in your area, or is there some problem using them?

The SEC games on FSN are part of a deal made many years ago between SEC and FSN South, this deal expires after this season and that inventory will go into the SEC network fold.

BTW Don, I finally was able to get the Hi-Def recording to work via that tsmuxer, the key is to make them "ISO" files

It plays back on PS3 and my Panasonic player, and it also places chapter marks.
Thank you so much for your guidance.

Now I'll have to figure out how to work the colossus

Uverse is available only to the homes that border the mile roads on either end of the sub. They marked it all up about 5 years ago to run fiber into the neighborhood, but never actually did it.

I am at the end of the line distance-wise, but can still get it, just not the highest speeds they advertise. The folks across the main road can't get it at all, so I guess I know where you are coming from.

They were promising to resume the build-out, but I was told it came to another screeching halt when talks of an ATT/DirecTV merger surfaced.

SIGH I need to find a place on a hill where there's fiber and no restrictions to erecting a honkin' antenna. My wife just shakes her head at that.

The BHN situation is more amusing than annoying. It's become a game for me. More of a comedy of "what ELSE can go wrong" errors.
