Our only analog class A station, channel 4 UniMas, is now off the air because of the FCC mandated shutoff of analog class A stations. 3 non class A low power stations are still merrily putting out analog.

How can we say "the digital transition is complete" when thousands of low power stations are still broadcasting in analog?

Thanks for pointing that out. It is in clear QAM on Bright House also. I hadn't noticed that Grit is also in clear QAM. Still no World Channel on Bright House.

I really wish Buzzr would come to Bakersfield! I still wish The Cool Tv would return!

Is FOX no longer using their "splicer" system? I thought the splicer system only permitted one subchannel.

Cocola is now cramming 11 programs onto RF 36 virtual 34. Retro Tv is now on 34-10 and Rev'n is on 34-11.

Zuus Country is gone from 34-8. Buzzr has taken it's place. I am very happy to have this channel. Unfortunately it is often horribly pixelated due to 11 programs being crammed onto one RF channel.

I am no longer able to receive NHK on 46-4. I'm wondering if I need a new antenna or did something happen to the station.

Thanks.

Trying to cut the cord so bought a "Clearstream Eclipse Amplified" antenna. Most the locals come in perfect, NBC, CBS and even mostly FOX... but we get nothing from ABC (23.1). From what I can find this tower is right near the CBS one around 30 miles away. Moved the antenna around in different directions. Any ideas why we would get nothing? Did something change with this channels OTA?

Thanks!

Your local ABC station is a VHF station operating on channel 10. The Eclipse is not a VHF antenna so it's not surprising that you don't pick it up.

Thanks much ProjectSHO89, that explains it! Thanks for that link too, any recommendations for a good "indoor" UHF and VHF antenna that would get all 4 of the major networks? Something like: https://www.amazon.com/Vansky-Amplif...antenna+indoor. Looks like it is in the VHF frequency range. I'm willing to pay a bit more, just going by this one says it does both, is indoor, and has a decent rating overall. Thanks again.

Skip all the flat indoor antennas, most of them have the same semi-fatal defect of poor-to-non-existent VHF reception.

Since you have the Eclipse, call and crab at them that you're not getting VHF with the Eclipse. If you're polite and persistent, they'll send you a VHF module... It's about as good as you're going to get for VHF without taking up excessive space.

It's also important that you understand that, even with the "right" VHF antenna, indoor reception of VHF is often severely impaired by the other electrical and electronic stuff in and near your home. YMMV.

Thanks again ProjectSHO89. I contacted them online and waiting to hear back. Their website does list ABC as green for my zip code, so they do advertise it even.

Their website's station predictor is useless, it's a simple distance-based algorithm, just like the ones on some other sites. It doesn't take anything else into consideration
