would like to throw in my two cents worth here.
KNDU is advertising that the olypics will be on 25.1 digital and "charter digital 780" (or was it 788, the analog channels on the moxi look like CRAP) My thought on this is that that Charter might be giving us UniversalHD which is going to be carrying alot of HD olympic coverage. I would be VERY suprised if this is an actualy local KNDU (or KNDO) feed.
When I talked to KEPR a couple weeks ago, I was told that it was a LONG ways off. That said, a co-worker of mine put an email into KIMA in yakima. KEPR is the sister station of KIMA. They told him late spring/early summer for OTA HD and the ability to apply for a waiver from direct or dish.
I then called the Cheif Engineer for KIMA and left him a voicemail inquiring about said Email and asking for a call back. More on this tomorrow if i hear from him.
KFFX-As stated earlier, KFFX says 07' for HD....which is unexceptable. oh well.
KVEW-Their Chief engineer says keep your fingers crossed for the superbowl. said the equipment has been on order for a while now, hes just waiting to recieve it. I then volunteered to help him install it if needed help as i am a network engineer an turn a mean wrench
he also gave me the impression that they had an agreement in place with Charter to carry them in HD once they got thier equipment up and running.
Where i am located in richland, im not getting hardly any signals digital wise, im going to have to wait on charter to feed me these signals.
if anyone hears anything else, let us all know.
