I just got a link to www.guidetohometheater.com/shownews.cgi?1021 , from Lee Wood's HDTV Forum Links homepage. Apparently a Tennesee company is testing this.

Ken,

I know that was a grin reply, but..... "They" will not be granted a local monopoly for the distribution of a set of content. If they offer me something, I can have a chance to get is some other way. I have no way to get CBS/NBC/ABC, etc. unless it is fed through my local affiliate with the local monopoly content (local commercials inserted).

Cheeers,

Bernd

dsl was originally designed by the bell operating companies as a vehicle to provide interactive/ppv competition to cable. never took off, was shelved until the internet boom resurrected it. guess its going back to its roots
