Once the game makers (prob PC game programmers initially) start building games in 16x9 1080, WOW...

I think we shall need it then (perhaps a general HD gaming Topic for any consoles supporting HDgames | |(ranting about lack thereof)).

I'm finding that I can much more easily justify my 'HT' expenditures http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif by getting as much and as varied use from what I like to think of as my multi-media / multi-entertainment room.

I could definitely entertain the idea of a 30/30/30 mixture of music/HT and HD 3D DD 5.1 immersive games written for the adult crowd considered most likely to own the systems capable of playing them!

The X-Box DVD playback ability, scaled or otherwise, could be covered in the DVD forum.
The DVD playback will be 1st thing looked at, and if its top notch.... intriguing

Hoping not to be let down on this one microsoft http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif.
