Ken,
You'll be missed. It was good hearing from an engineer who was enthusiastic about bringing the best to the viewers.

Let me get this straight, this show is hi-def and 5.1, but my local affiliate makes it crappy NTSC and mono?!

Free over the air HDTV + Tivo HD + Netflix for Blu-ray and streaming = Bliss

It wasn't wasted as far as I'm concerned.
Hope to read something from you now and then.

Did IQ's suddenly drop sharply while I was away?
I enjoy 3D in spite of HDMI 1.4!
Full screen only 3D doesn't cut it!

I'll miss his posts as well. We need more station personnel participating here, in my opinion. There are plenty of people with fancy home theaters whining for all kinds of stuff; it's refreshing to read commentary from those who are actually at the switches and providing broadcasting for us to watch.

Take care, Ken, and thanks for posting. Best wishes.

Ken,

Perhaps you can reconsider your decision. We all would like to continue to benefit from your participation.

Gee Ken, I'm sorry to see you leave. I wish you worked for a Denver station - they seem to be so silent and indifferent on the digital front. It takes visionaries like you and Lee Wood and other station engineers to get the kinks worked out and get thru the learning curve. I hope you remain a strong H/DTV advocate in the SLC area.

Best regards,

Best of luck although I am sure we ALL hope this is not really the end of your posts. Maybe you can just 'scale back' and post from home on occasion. It is very helpful to have someone posting who is working at a station and has real news and not just the rumor to report. Your posts have been extremely informative. You were especially helpful to us all in the Denver Tower thread for a long time. I hope you are able to work things out and continue to post at some point in the future. Thanks for all of your help and insight.

Well I'm fairly new here and I really didn't get an opportunity to know you, but judging from the love being expressed for you here it looks like I'm missing out too! Hate to see anyone split and all I can say is make sure your doing this because "YOU" want to do it and not because someone else has decided what is or should be important in your life . . .

In any event, I wish you well . . . Waving!
