Haven't noticed anybody posting on this yet, so...

From Mark's Monday Meno

this year, 150,003 Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) DTV
receiver/decoders, including both set-top boxes and integrated
receiver/displays, have been sold "into the retail channel" (factory
sales to dealers, including those in stores and in warehouses).

That's not accurate since it doesn't include plug in ATSC receivers for personal computers.

Frank

Did IQ's suddenly drop sharply while I was away?
I enjoy 3D in spite of HDMI 1.4!
Full screen only 3D doesn't cut it!

Frank,

I was looking into to a HTPC card and I can only find 2 cards. The Hipix and AccessDTV. I wonder how many of these cards have been sold? Both leave me a little wanting in the way of features and information. Getting off topic here but... The AccessDTV web site give almost no info on the card or software. Great web design but with almost no meat. And the Hipix card appears to be a first gen design.

OK, add about 500 to the above.

You forgot this one .

Several hundred Hipix cards were sold almost immediately after they were announced by Digital Connection.
I am confident that between the HiPix, AccessDTV and WinTV-HD there are several thousand sold so far.
Wait till they start getting mass marketed. Almost nobody knows about them so far.

I just go here every week or take note when Lee Wood's daily news references it.
