Dr. Oz moves to KDFW at 2pm.
WFAA plugs in the hole left by Dr. Oz and Katie with The Insider at 2pm, Inside Edition at 2:30, and a full hour of Family Feud at 3. KDAF still has a full hour of Family Feud at 12pm, so I don't know what kind of deal they have.
KDAF plugs the hole left by Arsenio Hall with The Simpsons and Two and a Half Men.
KTXD gets Access Hollywood Live at 6pm.
More changes to come as September rolls on.
I noticed that KMPX 29-2 is now showing color bars (same pattern as the STILL inactive KLEG 44-2) in lieu of Inmigrante TV. Problems? Or could Liberman be scouting for another network to go on this slot? (FYI, Inmigrante's website [accessible via the Inmigrante TV Wikipedia page] shows the Dallas affiliate as KAZD 55-3, but they're still an infomercial channel as of tonight.)
And speaking of KAZD, 55-4 is still showing the "For Lease" slate. Maybe "Launch TV" has thrown in the towel? Anybody want to "launch" their own "TV network" on this slot? ( *pun intended*)
Wow, all this updating. I feel like rdvegas from the Las Vegas forum.
Edit: It's back on 29-2 this evening.

So that means WFAA is the odd one out in terms of game shows now that they're getting "the Feud," huh? (The CBS O&Os are the clear winners with Wheel, Jeopardy, Millionaire, Deal, and Price!)
Also, KLEG 44-1 and 44-2 are "active," but not showing anything. Just a black screen with obnoxious buzzing. Diya 44-3 and Sony SAB 44-4 are still alive and well. A scrolling station ID still exists on the two blank channels at 3 after.
Finally, college football season starts today! The OK State-FL State game airs tonight at 7 on channel 8!
- 21, 47: 12-hour minimum
- 8. 11, 68: 24 hours
- 4, 5, 27: 48
- 13, 33: 72
- 49: 120 (although 49-3's EPG is not useful at the moment; just says "Regularly Scheduled Programming" over & over)
- 23: 160 (although after about 5 days it just repeats "Regularly Scheduled Programming" like 49-3)
My Pal's guide display gets a bit "spotty" on 49. I guess there's just too much guide data to receive during one of the Pal's auto-scans, and info for the further-out days probably isn't transmitted very often.

Not sure when this happened (as I usually begin my regular ABC viewing around this time of year), but I noticed that WFAA finally got the "Gannett makeover": a change in the graphics package (just like what you would see on WUSA, KUSA, WXIA, etc.), and WFAA.com looks/functions just like the USA Today website. Apparently some local elements of WFAA still exist: Inside Texas Politics, WeatherMinds, the local promo announcer, etc.
Also, you think 8-2 could eventually change their weather service to WeatherNation? I noticed that many long-time Gannett stations air WN on their subchannels. I've seen bits and pieces of WN online and it looks pretty good! (When DirecTV lost The Weather Channel for a few months, I heard some people online preferred WeatherNation over TWC due to WN airing nothing but weather forecasts!) You can find a national streaming feed online, on Roku, and maybe some Gannett affiliates will stream a customized WN feed on their sites, too!
Admittedly the one I'm seeing 5-6 days' worth on is a CM-7000Pal, but it's always acted pretty much identical to my DTVPal except for cosmetic changes, so I doubt that accounts for the difference.
As I mentioned, my guide for these channels, especially 49, is "spotty" and there are a lot of "No Information Available" spots interspersed with actual movies, especially further into the future. The trick for me was not to give up on the first "No Information Available" I found, but instead to go out to the end and work backward. Obviously anything besides "No Information Available" must have come from the station, so I know the station is broadcasting at least that much data. But the only way to fill in the gaps seems to be to leave the Pal on and tuned to the station for an extended period. I guess the Pal only reliably picks up a day or two's worth during its automatic scans. Exact amount it picks up probably depends on how often the station sends its guide data, and most stations use an algorithm that sends more distant data less often, so you may have to remain on the station for a long time to fill in all the gaps in a 5-day EPG.
EDIT: Wish they would have started with the first Mission:Impossibles with Mr Briggs... otherwise enjoyed these last night especially the U.N.C.L.E. episode.

KTVT poaches OK!TV away from KTXD.
KTXA gets syndicated repeats of Mike & Molly at 10pm, Hot in Cleveland at 12am, and Raising Hope at 2:30am.
KDFI gets syndicated repeats of Anger Management at 10:30pm.
