K31GL "Retro" still having audio problems today. Left it on a while last night, the audio would come on for a few minutes then a pop would be heard and send the audio level way down or to no audio at all, intermittent. I guess I will send an email about it to Retro. Although, I went to Retro's site yesterday and the movie listings haven't been updated since Dec 2014. Not a good sign.

If your signal is breaking up when the wind blows, that seems to always indicate that the signals are trying to come through trees. UHF signals are far more susceptible to this and low-powered (or very weak/distant) UHF signals are usually the first to suffer.

No longer picking up KDFI. Has to be trees. Nothing else has changed. Ughhh. Now back up the last two nights but 33.1 et al is down. I swear I had better picture quality under NTSC but then again my trees are bigger.

No problem here in NW Dallas. KDFI is maxed out at "100" on my signal gauge, trees and all.

Johnny Carson back on TV !!

http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/john...tv-1201568250/

Tribune Media’s Antenna TV, the multicast digital channel devoted to vintage television shows, will run full-length episodes of “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” nightly at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT starting Jan. 1, 2016.

Antenna TV has struck a multi-year deal with Carson Entertainment Group to license hundreds of hours of the NBC late-night institution. Antenna will run episodes that aired from 1972 through the end of Carson’s 30-year reign in in 1992. Because NBC owns the rights to “The Tonight Show” moniker, Antenna TV’s episodes will be billed simply as “Johnny Carson.”

DVR won't tune new 'Grit' channels 49.x

I am new to this forum, located in Farmer's Branch just N of Dallas. My TV (Samsung LN46A850) tunes the new 49.3 channel just fine, with good signal strength from roof mounted antenna. However neither of my DVRs (Magnavox MDR535H and LG RC897T) is able to tune or decode this channel - I just get a blank screen. Does anyone know what is different about 49.3 that my DVRs don't understand?
Thanks for any info.

Your DVRs decode 49.1 and 49.2 OK?

Did you try a rescan?

So what's the OTA channel number? Might be a good use of my OTA DVR.

KTXA is simulcasting KTVT's CBS feed of PGA Tour Golf. This strike anyone else as strange?

No. KTVT is broadcasting a Dallas Cowboy's football game. Plus a couple of hours of pregame nonsense. When they do that, they move their regular programming over to 21. The only thing odd is that they have all three hours of golf on 21 rather than just the final pre-empted hour.

No, when I posted they were both showing the CBS golf game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what schultdw was saying is that KTXA switched to the CBS feed in anticipation of KTVT switching away to Cowboys football. So for a couple of hours they were both showing the golf game from CBS, then KTVT switched away to football while KTXA stayed with the golf game (but that third hour isn't shown in the guide screenshot above).

In retrospect it might have made more sense for one of the stations to air something different during those two hours of overlap. For example, KTXA could have aired the full golf game, while KTVT aired a 2-hour movie followed by football. But nobody's perfect.
