The system apparently was unable to deliver MavTV to you or to anyone else at the time of your post, due to SDV congestion, where there aren't enough slots available on the RF carriers dedicated to carrying SDV streams for all the different SDV channels requested by customers at a particular time.

A bunch of channels were moved from fixed slots to SDV very recently, so the above has become a more frequent occurrence.

For future reference, here's a list of the channels that I'm aware of being delivered by SDV, in case you can't get a particular channel to come in:

Thanks for that information. I'm in a different Charter market, but have noticed some changes as well. Looking at several of those on my TiVo it appears everything is the same here as it is for you. Do you have a way of pulling the entire map of channels and frequencies that carry them and posting it? I'd be curious to know where the frequencies they've "opened" with all these moves have gone (or are going)?

I wonder if this could be a precursor to them adding more of the Time Warner owned channels (like the Time Warner News and Sports channels available in the Carolinas)?

Some of those are obvious, but I'm amazed that some of those sports channels are now SDV.

I have a listing for the channels accessible in Gaston and Lincoln counties.

The channel/frequency assignments should hold true for the Hickory, Lenoir, and Burke County systems, but as for channels carried on the other systems but not in my area, such as WSPA, WLOS, etc., I don't have any info on those.

The pattern seems to follow the same... all our local channels are in the same frequency slots as yours for the most part. Actually we get the SD versions of WBTV & WSOC, so those are exactly the same. I've gone through the old map I had from 2014 from our area and spot compared it. The only reason I can think for the sudden move to SDV is that they're trying to free up space to add more of the regular digital SD and HD channels to fixed slots where they can make their system more accessible to people with the digital adapters as opposed to full fledged converter boxes and DVRs. Again that's just my theory... or maybe it has to do with the TW acquisition.

Once I get the old version I had setup the same as yours I'm going to do a side by side comparison to see what the real deal is.

In my area, ten 6-MHz channels were opened up by the QAM/SDV reshuffle; the RF channels used for Internet, VOD, and SDV haven't changed.

Thanks for the list, blackcap93. I tried every SDV channel last night and none of them tuned in. I don't have a Charter cable box, but am using a Windows Media Center PC with HDHomeRun CableCARD tuners. I'll visit one of my neighbors tonight and see if they're having the same problem. Thanks.

WCNC has been knocked off the air due to a lightning strike at the transmitter location, affecting Charter customers and those watching over the air.

Wow... hard to believe Charter doesn't have a fiber feed for all the locals.

They've got one now, but it's in the TWC division, rather than the Charter division.

Another QAM reshuffle, this time involving VOD and Internet. VOD is now at 450-489 MHz and Internet, at 624-720 MHz.
