Thanks for the info Raoul. Although I disagree that this is not the fault of Cox. Cox does share some if not most of the responsibility for this fiasco. All other cable providers in CT have WTNH in HD so we know that LIN can be dealt with. It just seems that Cox refuses to do so. I may have mentioned before that I have been let down by Cox several times and kinda knew this would happen. They don't seem to be too concerned with keeping their customers happy since they have no real competition other than DirectTV. As I've said before, IMO, Cox Sux! But since I have so many tall trees around my house, I really have no other choice. Cable Companies need to be deregulated to provide true competition in the marketplace. But that's a whole different conversation.
I'm sure that, after Cox pisses off many of their customers as they did with NESN in the Meriden, Cheshire and Southington programming areas, they will make a deal with LIN and provide us with WTNH, and most likely raise our rates in the process. Of course this will also be after it's too late.
Needless to say that since I'm expecting between 25 and 30 people over for the Superbowl, I'm glad I purchased the OTA box.
