Does anyone know if Verizon is coming out with a competitor to Comcast's X1 DVR? Seems crazy that we don't have the ability to record more than 2 shows, but comcast now does.

Just stumbled upon this thread and have to say short that as former Florida resident (Ft.Lauderdale area) I have to say I was with others in the bushes with slow local service provider. Comcast in SE Florida is a joke with DSL cable speeds except for first couple of minutes of use where they boost you to advertised amazing internet speed. Besides them there is nothing much else to choose from.

Even more I became happy resident of New England with light speed Fios cable services which I use for last couple of years. Hope they will wire south part of my home state soon for the benefit if many users longing for fast and reliable service down there.

Any Verizon people in this thread? Wondering if any HDMI related changes were involved in the Tuesday Feb 18th software update to the settop boxes?
