No clue. As soon as I checked the thread the first time I couldn't see it. Thought maybe it was me.

Thanks for the link. Just waiting for rs to get my stuff in then I'll construct one.

The missing photo (folded dipole)

Photo that belongs in post 3923 (which disappeared, so I'll put it back).

Ok bananamane, the photo is back in 3923; it's also here as an attachment.

IIRC, that goes perpendicular to the direction of the antenna, right?

Did you really need to quote that entire post in your reply?

Yes, if you held your arms out to your sides like the dipole, you'd be facing the Roxborough antenna farm (or it would be directly behind you - the folded dipole without a reflector is bi-directional).

WHYY OTA Reception at Night

During the daytime I receive WHYY rock solid, but after sundown it a crap shoot and the signal is lost or pixelated most of the time here in Malvern Boro at 600' AMSL off an attic antenna. It's very frustrating. Does anyone have any insight into this phenomena? I left a message with Bill Weber with this question and have yet to hear back from him. Thanks. BTW, I also tried an amplifier with no improvement.

Probably noise from some kind of lighting. WHYY is on RF 12 which is quite noise susceptible. I am 10 miles west of use, use an attic antenna at same elevation and have no issues.

Sounds like it could be some type of electrical intereference in or around the house. I would start by turning off lights or any other devices that are on only at night. I had some amplified speakers that would wipe out channel 12 even with the antenna mounted on the roof.

Anyone else having trouble with 17.3 and 17.4? My Tivo shows the signal is the same as 17.1 and 17.2, basically the max.

17.1 and 17.2 come in fine, but I get a blank screen for the other 2.
