I've been using http://bsexton.com/cgi-bin/tv.cgi to locate stations in my area; however, I'm confused by some of the jargon, which they assume the user knows:

What do LIC, APP, CP, and CP MOD mean? I assume LIC is licensed station, and APP means applied, but the others escape me. I also see the same stations listed multiple times with different status and in some cases, different transmitter locations.

Can someone explain? Also, what's the difference between City Grade, Grade A, and Grade B. I get the Baltimore stations fine, and they're Grade B, and I can't get the local Fox to save my life, and it's City Grade.

Thanks,
Anthony

LIC = License
APP = Application
CP = Construction Permit
CP Mod + Construction Permit Modification

Signal Strength
Best = City Grade
Next Best = Grade A
Acceptable + Grade B

Ah, I see. So the stations with all multiple listings probably have a license or app AND are moving/upgrading their tower. That would explain it.

Thanks,
Anthony
