CSS is not available at any price on any Time Warner Cable system.

CSTV is available on the Digital Sports tier. ESPNU will most likely be carrying the USC spring game, and also not available on TWC. It is only available on DirecTV and Aldelphia Cable

Did anyone on TWC have trouble with ESPNHD (ch 950) over the weekend? All I got was a blank screen on Saturday afternoon... and the same thing Sunday afternoon. Standard Def ESPN (ch 26) was working fine. Those were the only times I tried the HD channel over the weekend. It may be working now, but haven't tried it yet today. I'm using a 8300HD.

ESPN did not have the rights to the ACC basketball tournament locally.

Thanks for the reply. I wonder why I was able to tune into analog ESPN, though. I guess I'm not putting two and two together on this.

Either way, I tried ESPNHD when I was home during my lunch break and it worked fine.

I don't remember. I didn't want to watch college basketball. I was flipping and when ESPNHD wouldn't come in I switched to analog ESPN to make sure it was working. I do remember it was college basketball on both times I tried ESPNHD

What Gary is saying is correct, the games were blocked out on ESPN-HD due to local carriage, which is why you saw black.

Yes, I saw it too; lots of pixelization. I switched over to the OTA signal which was fine. I have not gone back to see if TWC remained problematic or not.

Strangely "Las Vegas" was good in my area, but "Boston Legal" from Sunday was a mess. Lots of microblocks, video swirls, video shifts, and audio staggers.

I gave my recording of Las Vegas a quick check and the freezing/pixelization must have ended right about the time I switched over to OTA (about 8-10 min into the program). The last 45 minutes or so seemed fine.

What is the best settings to use on the 8300. I have it set on 480i and 1080i, but it seems to be cutting the heads off the people. Thanks for any help. Mitch

I have it set for 720p and 1080i passthrough. Seems to be better for analog. Hit the # key until you have the zoom set correctly.

Can someone verify that the two INHD channels are still on the air in Columbia. I get no signal at all for these two channels.

It is not very often that analog channels are 'currently' on the same channel in Columbia DMA and FMB DMA.

Good Morning,

As in past years, we will provide customer's who have Digital Cable in the Columbia DMA with additional 'out-of-market' NCAA Basketball games on TW Digital Cable Channels 810, 811 and 812. Channel 810 will still be broadcast in HD, but channels 811 and 812 are Digital (non-HD).

Since this is a single elimination tournament, we are unable to provide a full schedule for this weekend at this time. Below you will find the schedule for Thursday. As soon as WLTX gets me the schedule for Friday, I will get it out (this should occur today). But we will not have the Saturday schedule until Friday Afternoon and we will not have the Sunday schedule until Saturday afternoon. As soon as we get it though, I will send it out to you.

Thursday and Friday games will be listed on the IPG, but Saturday and Sunday will be listed as "Teams TBD".

Analog Channel 9
12:20 - Kentucky/E. Kentucky
2:45 - Boston College/Penn
7:25 - Gonzaga/Winthrop
9:40 - LSU/UAB

HD Channel 810
12:45 - Oklahoma/Niagara
3:05 - Utah/UTEP
7:10 - Wake Forest/Chattanooga
9:45 - Texas Tech/UCLA

Digital Channel 811
12:40 - Pacific/Pittsburgh
3:00 - Washington/Montana
7:20 - Arizona/Utah State
9:30 - West VA / Creighton

Digital Channel 812
12:25 - Alabama/Wisconsin-Milwaukee
2:40 - Cincinnati/Iowa
7:10 - Texas/Nevada
9:30 - Illinois / Fairleigh-Dickenson

Yes, very proud graduate of The University of Illinois MA ACES '90 and President of the Columbia Illini Club.

Love the Big Ten - the Tournament was GREAT - I have some lovely new orange apparel (that's my issue down here, people just assume Orange is Clemson.. even people who have known me for years and should know better) - Stuffed, Deep Dish Pizza while listening to jazz and watching the snow is soooo wonderful - Chicago is my favorite city (and they provided free bus shuttles too and from United Center and downtown, very cool!) ....

too bad Comcast has Chicago not TWC!

3 brief audio drops here, and the video here was glitch free but, "House" afterwards had video issues.

BTW, the Wach News at 10 still looks terriable on TWC CH 820.

Still can't get INHD, and I will try to have TWC come out and see why this consistently happens to me.

Yeah, I thought about my post about the previous night (3/15) when we were watching AI last night (3/16), because I noticed the audio drops too. Ah well, can't be perfect, I guess.

no audio dropouts or video glitches on AI, House or Boston Legal here this week (8000HD). Medium is the only show that was pretty glitchy.

How does the Tournament look? The three channels look to holding up pretty well. Let me know what you guys think.
