Thanks but should we need to do that? I haven't done that on other forums, I'm sure just editing the link in the text normally would normally change it. Is AVSForum acting differently to most other forums and the previous version of this forum? Surely the simplest way for the user would be to make it automatically change the URL it points to if you edit the text of a URL in the post's text.

Yes. You must go Advanced on old edits. Notice within the next two sentences how I hyperlink the text. Each will have the same text linked and seem the same until viewed in bbcode in an editor box or hovered over in the final result.
