I am going to watch the superbowl tonight on the new panny 3000. I doubt anyone coming over will notice the improvement from last years party when i was using the 2000. It is kind of hard to think about the superbowl , it brings back all the memories of last years game.

I hated the references to last years Super Bowl during the game last night. I'm trying to forget that debacle.

Well i'm hoping we see a team similar to 2007 Patriots next year(except the last game) as most of the same team would be back if Tom is healthy. Add to the fact that we have a really great running game now that the 2007 team did not have.

Hopefully we will be able to plug some holes in the secondary which was the cause of downfall in the 2008 team IMHO.

Hello guys. I'm a newcomer to this thread, but a long time AVS member.

I just finished my basement (not that they are ever finished) and in the process of getting a new pj since the old one died Saturday. I live in just north of Boston, and would like to meet some like-minded HT people.

I am having a hard time deciding between the Panasonic AE3000 and the Epson 6100. Wil probably go fo the second one as it is $800 cheaper (for one more day).

Welcome to the New england area thread. This thread is growing by leaps and bounds. One of these days we will have to have a meet. Unfortunately i am on the other side of the state from many here. I would however be willing to go to the Boston area for a meeting.
ON a side note i just ordered a new carada BW 110" screen to replace my smaller carada ccw 104" screen. I would go bigger but i have a low ceiling in my basement theater. When i get the screen mounted i am even going to update my very outdated pictures.

Hey, welcome to the thread!! Always nice to have more people join.....we seem to still be in the planning stage of getting together (where ever that may be).....too bad it wasn't spring (or summer), could do a cookout of sorts as well as view some "eye candy"

Subscribing myself. I had a bachelor-apartment theater which is now disassembled and moved to the house that we bought (and paid too much for) in summer '07. I had a few locals over for a color calibration session in the old place, but I'm in serious HT withdrawal now.

Years down the road, we'd love to host, but until then, I'm looking to scratch that itch and meet up with a few like-minded locals. Can drive anywhere within reason (the AVS brand of reason, not the more restrictive WAF type of reason. ).

I am in easthampton ma. Its about 20 minutes north of Springfield. I am appx 95 miles from Boston. It seems that most here live near the Boston area i would like to host something but i wouldnt expect too many of you living near boston to drive that far a distance. If however anyone is interested let me know. I would be happy to provide food and drink. I own a seafood restaurant in Northampton so if anyone likes seafood they will be in luck.

hi guys

If somebody wants to host an "event". I would be happy to perform a calibration for the group and give a short presentation on calibration basics / essentials. I would perform the calibration / presentation for half price. ($200 ish).

I am in if there is a GTG in the NE area as well. Live in Nashua, NH area. Rebuilding my outdated HT system. Have done an upgrade or two but there is still (likely) a bit of a road a head so would be nice to meet and hear about your experiences and share idea's etc. Have a dedicated HT room now, which has been redesigned to meet WAF needs (meaning it is no longer dedicated nor setup as it was once designed but we pays our dues and takes our [read their] choices...)

Thousands of experiments have conclusively proven that beating drums and clashing cymbals brings back the sun after a total eclipse.

Hey, We should meet up when we get a chance.. another Nashua resident here. I have my theater pretty much set in terms of equipment, but just pulled it apart to paint the room a couple of days ago. I'll hopefully be back in business in a week or so.
