Jsil, regarding your front height speakers, what mounts are you using and how much do your speakers weigh?

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!

Ok been busy getting a few new things the last couple of days. UPS and the mail man will love me early next week, as did newegg, amazon and monoprice love me the last couple of days .

So Im thinking we should have a gtg at my place on saturday 12/10 or 12/17. Let me know which works for you all. I know time is a luxury as we head in to the holiday season.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!

Hey that's great, I can't wait to hear the improvements that makes.
To another note, the polk rti 12/ a9's have caught my attention. I think in by spring time I will have a set. Move my 70's to the bedroom in a two channel setup.

I also spent time today at frys checking out the mits 82840 and I must say the new clear contrast scren is awesome. Need the price to drop, but that might be my new set in the next 12 to 18 months to so.
Let me know when the panel install is done is I can check it out.

I don't need snobs to tell me how to think, thank you!

Did you get a chance to see the 92" next to the 82" Mitsubishi. I just got done with the bass traps in each corner of the room. I'm going to start doing the front wall behind my stand then side wall.

No, they only that the 82 to display. The 92 would be too big for my house anyway. The 82 would be pushing it as it is. The new screen is a big step up for pic quality. Id love to get a plasma but finding an affordable one in the 80-90in size is impossible. The mits 82840 would be the next best thing.

Just get the 103" plasma floor model from Century. It's half off retail, so only $30K.

Cool. I've done some work on my system since you guys were over last, so I'd love to have you over again too. Still need to add a good sub for movies though. Anyone willing to bring one over that we could try out?

J/k about the plasma. You're talking about some big screen sizes, it will be awesome in your HT room.

I think Jsils beast won't fit in the space I have. Will check. Its a pain to move too Otherwise, the 505s went real low, so they would be a good complement to my system. I just want to hear how much more there is down low to help me decide if I should add a sub sometime this year.

This could be fun. I've already pissed off my neighbors, so no harm could come out of this. Probably won't be able to meet for a while as I'll be out of town for the next few w/e's. But I'll let you know.

I'd also like to get input on my new 2-ch source: Flac on macbook ->async USB to S/PDIF converter -> AVR. I'm comparing it to CD and to lossless files over AppleTV. I can also connect the USB converter to the AVR different ways with noticeable sound differences. It's fun to compare and get opinions on which sounds more favorable.

Guys, the Blockbuster at Meridian and Kooser is closing. Blurays are going for $10 now, I suspect they'll drop more soon. Just FYI
