Just got back from the meet. WOW that's a lot of power! Great host (We were even offered MILK!!!!), great party, lots of geek talk, overall a very fantastic day. Also got to watch pacific rim, good action scenes, so so acting... Lol. Got a nice full body message sitting in the front row. The subs throw out Huge amounts of spl and go very very low. I would recommend JTR's to anyone looking for a highly dynamic theater speaker.

But a Huge Thanks for Lance for allowing us to comes to this meet. I had a great time.

Tony, t was great having you and a big thanks to everyone who made it out. Lots of fun meeting everyone and hearing people's HT experiences and goals. I learned a lot more about projector options and some possible next steps for a projector upgrade.

Special thanks to Jeff for making it out and springing for pizza, Alex for bringing more soda ( and lots of demo material too) and John for bringing more beer.

Cheers guys, we'll have to do it again sometime.

Note for next time... have less beer and more cold milk!

Thanks again for the invite to the GTG Lance! It was great hearing the system with 2 Orbit Shifters and new Noesis mains! Pacific Rim was a blast to watch all-the-way through. IMO, the best scene from that movie was the flash-back when Mako Mori is rescued by the Marshall. The scene where that Gipsy Danger Yager is discovered by the metal detector (foot stomps) and the battle with the Gipsy Danger and the 2 Kaiju after the E.P. blast were also quite good.

Thanks also to Tony (SOWK) for helping me work out technical issues so that we could play the rope break scene from Oblivion. That was a pretty impressive sweep as a he was falling. Also, hearing that pistol/shotgun scene from Book of Eli was AMAZING at the higher listening level. Talk about a scene coming to life with the OS and Noesis combo!

It was great meeting everyone and hanging out with Jeff. Lance made sure that he kept everybody involved. Those of us who don't drink alcohol had the option of drinking the Coca-Cola that I had brought over, and if that wasn't enough, Lance even us offered us Milk -twice!

Good times!!

I learned a lot and i'm with you Alex the book of Eli was out right impressive, i was cringing on every shot it was so real. The other scene that was impressive was the Haunting WOW the pounding on the door
was unreal.

I think i found out at this meet that i have some blood brothers (Dirt Bikers)!! Oh yea baby! Anyway i traveled far to hear dual OS's and it was well worth it awesome job Jeff in creating the ultimate sub. Lance Dude Rock of ages rocks loved the songs way cool. Everyone in the group was just awesome and great conversations with you all. I can't wait until the next GTG. When i build my home next year maybe i can host one.

Brit, just think an RV, dirt bikes and street bikes and two operating OS's going across the country for drop off at your new HT. Now that would be a road trip!! Really cool you came out and could make such a long trip.

Lance thanks for being a great host. You have an awesome set up. I really enjoyed checking out those JTRs. I went with the intention of listening to the Noesis and they did not disappoint. However, I think I came away most amazed by the dual OS. WOW!

Overall great experience. Sorry for getting there late and leaving early, I know I'm "that" guy. But seriously it was a great time.

Thanks also to Jeff for the Pizza.

no worries at all I was glad you could make it. Thanks for the compliment on the set up. Let me know if you think there is anything I can help you with. A lot of knowledge in that room. Ever since the meet I am most interested in improving the ceiling for better sound isolation from the upstairs. Let me know how things progress go on your end with the paradigms too.

Hi Carp. Those are just 2" acoustical panels from Acoustimac. would ultimately like to get a star Celiling by have acoustically transparent material with a star scene dyed in and have rope lights around the perimeter. All in good time.

Ninja, that is much appreciated. I will likely have another GTG this fall for those who are interested in hearing 3 OS's with LG driving the fronts. Just demos, music and movies food and drinks. No huge deal just casual.

And how is you HT quest going?

If it's a day I'm available. Count me in for your fall gtg.

I've been off and on upgrading my set up. I did upgrade my subs. Didn't go with the big boys but I picked up a pair of PB-13s and I also started getting into REW measurements and house curves with the miniDSP. Pretty much just spending a lot of time tweaking my setup. One thing I would like to do is upgrade to a projector setup but I'm getting a lot of resistance from the wife. One day, just gotta keep working on it.

Working with REW can be really helpful and insightful for correcting so many things. Good luck with that, it is a bit of a commitment at first but getting the basic understanding for FR and time alignment is pretty straightforward. But I must admit I don't use even half of it functionality.
