A CC5500 is good for over 1,500w per channel at 4ohm, and I have two of them. .. plus two CC4000...

These amps also have a snr of over 110db, so they're excellent for high sensitivity speakers.

I mentioned in the other thread, but I would be interested in coming as well. If people have an idea what they would like me to bring, let me know.

That day is still open on my calendar, planning on it!

Oh, and I plan on bringing my eyes, ears and some beer.  :)

lukeamdman,

What you thinking for a format?  Just subjective listening pleasure?  Measurements and response charts?

Last year we had mostly movie clips focusing on bass, but this year i'd like to include some high quality music clips to show off the mains.

I haven't heard any AE drivers as of yet, but they've definitely been on my radar for a future project.

What did you have in mind that you could bring?

Attached is a little teaser picture of my amp rack...which is missing a few amps still!

The construction of the room is coming along nicely. This weekend I should be done with the electrical, and drywall should begin by the end of the month!

How firm is the July 26th date? I'm definitely interested...

#25 ·
Btw, I think it's helpful to have some of the main demo content disseminated before the event - that way we can get to learn the music so we're just listening to the speakers. Anyways, just a thought...

Here's a few music tracks I picked out:

Pink Floyd - Time (SACD)
Bass Mekanik - Bass All Day
Bass Mekanik - Bass I Love You
NIN - Everyday is Exactly the Same (DVD-A)
Justice - New Lands
Justice - Parade
Trent Reznor - Carbon Prevails
Pendulum - Set Me on Fire
AWOLNATION - Sail

Here are some tracks that were highlights from another GTG out east that we'll be playing as well:

Sherlock Holmes - OST Discombobulate
Eagles Gone Country - Hotel California
Collective Soul - December
Incubus - Echo
Daft Punk - Tron Legacy Overture
Tool - Jambi
Pendulum - The Tempest
Dire Straits - What It Is
Styx - Renegade
Boz Scaggs - Thanks to You
Dream Theater - Another Day
Dream Theater - The Count of Tuscany

As for Blu-ray concerts, Dustin has something that I can't remember for the life of me, but I'm buying the new Metallica concert "Through the Never".

Picking out material isn't easy, so I'm all ears for any suggestions anyone might have!

^^ this.

Also, my suggestions are:

Aenema- Tool
Stinkfist- Tool
Slow Ride- Sublime
Hook- Blues Traveler
Stormy Monday- Cream live at royal albert hall 2007
Freedom- Rage Against The Machine
Guitar solo from master of puppets
Save Me- Avenged Sevenfold
Oceans- Hillsong United live@ relevant studios
Frankenstein- Edgar Winter Group

Some additional content will be the "Cream" blu-ray concert. I just heard this at David's "The Savoy" GTG and it sounds awesome.

There was also a track upstairs on the JTR 215RTs called "Jazz Variants" that sounds great. I had heard it before last year at my GTG when Jeff brought it, and I just ordered that as well.
