I would drive to Austin to attend. Doesn't look like much activity going on in here though.

Hi guys,
I see this thread hasn't had a lot of activity, but I'm definitely interested. I don't have a super high-end home theater, but my wife and I like it. We're currently in southwest Austin

Can anyone recommend a good installer in Austin? I got some new Triad Silver speakers that I want to install in-wall and a few other things I want some help with. I have contacted a few places but none that I feel comfortable using. Thanks.

If you know where you want them installed, maybe look at a general contractor.

Anyone recommend a general contractor in Austin? I'm looking for someone to remodel my basement into a theater. I'll provide detailed plans. Just need a good and cost effective contractor.

looking for installation help?

RGSwff3 - Did you ever get your Triad speakers installed? I just moved here from the North Houston area and have been designing, building and installing systems for friends, neighbors, and through word of mouth contacts for several years. Let me know if you would like me to stop by and see what you need to have done.

How do you have a basement in Austin?! I'm jealous. We can't dig deeper than a foot without breaking up massive amounts of rock here in central Austin (for the most part... depends on the area). The only basements I've ever known of were houses built on the side of a hill.

Would love to hear about your project. Hope it is going/went well!

Thanks!
Cory

Yeah, the house is built into a hill. The front yard is at street level while the back yard is downstairs.
It would be hard to imagine digging into rock for a basement. It would probably make more sense to build up.

Sadly, I haven't been able to make any progress. Other priorities this past year.
