That marty has gotten a lot of build outs lately. Great for Nick at SI, a good friend of mine.

I had to double take when I saw the driver in that box... The SI18 looks more beefy than I remember.

I'm still getting the sub dialed in had some issues at first. Really had to crank the gain in the amp to get it going. But now it's working great. Still needs some more tweaking. I really didn't realize how big this thing was going to be. I'm like a 1/2 inch off, of if fitting under my screen. Going to have to figure something out. Also have to move my center in front of the sub if it goes under my screen bringing it about 8 inches closer to the front row then it was. It's still going to be 8 1/2 feet away from the first row so shouldn't be an issue.. Only thing I'm mad about is my Yamaha rx-a2010 only wants to send low end to either my sub or my fronts but not to both. I wanted to send to both as my fronts go down to 35hz and have tighter bass. But it still sounds good with the fronts set to 80hz and up and everything else going to the sub. really wish I had built a false wall now and put the speakers behind the screen.. Wife wants a bigger screen lol 120inch apparently is to small.

DO WHAT ^^^^^^ SHE SAYS! Then all your problems are solved.

What type of mains are you using again? 35hz is a stout low end number for mains, and my guess is your subs could do that area, up to 80hz or so better on their own, but enlighten me on what you are running at this point NO doubt the subs will do it more efficiently, but if you have the firepower for you mains to be authoritative that low, and they measure that far down in your space, by all means! Use em!

The spec's say that they go down to 35hz.. I have Athena f2's for the mains. Athena AS-C1 center , Athena AS-B1's for my side rears and Athena AS-R1's for the back rear's.

So, are we going to try and square away a date and location for this GTG??

Please add me to the masterlist.

I am new to the hobby, but loving it having just completed a full size Martysub and a Marty Cube.

Next up, likely a few Tempests for the mains.

I am in Morganton.

Hope to meet a some of you in person sometime!

And if you resemble yours!!

Can somebody please grab this proposed GTG by the 'short and curlies' and start fixing date / time / location. From a selfish perspective, I travel a Hell of a lot and have to plan my calendar in advance, even weekends, especially with international trips.

High.
On a hill, was a lonely note heard?

Men.
On the road with a load to tote heard?

Men.
Drinking beer with the foam afloat, heard?

You're right. I almost included

"One little girl
in a pale pink coat
heard"

But, I thought it was getting a little long-winded. Plus, although I've never been to a G2G, in the online post-event commentaries that I've read, I haven't heard many (any?) female voices.

Beast, I didn't intend to either confuse or irritate. I certainly didn't intend to derail your thread. Just the opposite, I meant to encourage the developing tendency toward setting up the event.

Sometimes I think with my left brain, sometimes with my right. And, apparently, sometimes neither because I failed to credit Rogers & Hammerstein for their Sound of Music lyrics (thought it was clear from the context) and failed to apologize to them for taking a few liberties with their poetry.

The confusion is my fault. Righteous confession time:

Spoiler!

I likely never will. Musicals in general make me want to vomit on small babies. I thought it was just some random prose. TBQH, I just don't get poetry sometimes. Like this haiku I just thought up:

Escapes the Pantry
Refrigerator

After watching my mountaineers lose in historic fashion again last night, I am pretty sure I am not wasting my time driving up to Boone for any more home games this season... November 1st is pretty feasible for me in that sense now. The other dates I was considering was Oct. 18th or 25th, or Nov. 15th. I need some confirmation though, are people willing to drive to the beautiful town of Asheville for a g2g at my spot? I wish I was a little more central, but cmon, I drive to New Bern at least 3 times per year, it ain't that bad to trek across the state

Also, with the assumption that most people in Asheville don't shower, and wear patchouli oil to cover bodily odor, I will say, I do have running water that I use regularly, and think that patchouli is a putrid, foul scent that no person should ever wear for extended periods of time... I know of our reputation around other areas of the state, so thought I would clarify. I like collared shirts, and am part of the working class.

Nov. 1 is still best for me.

If anybody in the Charlotte area (or those willing to drive to the Charlotte area) would like to carpool to Asheville (and chip in for a bit of fuel), I'm willing to drive. I can handle up to 7 in my SUV, including myself. We could meet at a convenient spot to consolidate into one vehicle and roll out. The drive is just over two hours once we hit the highway.

What up Beast? This is Paul, your fellow metalhead buddie from your last GTG. Hope all is well with you. Bosso is actually considering having a GTG but it would have to be a while down the road as things here are pretty cluttered with projects at the moment. When it happens, you have to come hang with us!

I definitely recommend seeing Beast's system in person to anyone curious about making the trip because it's ba ba ba ba ba BAD TO THE BONE.

May the subsonic force be with you.
