I knew you would support me! These boxes must be 300 lbs loaded with the driver. It was not easy getting it up there. Then I had to climb up on top of it to plug in the speakon. Hahaha. Bad planning on my part.

Umm... you might want to rethink your plan. Your house may indeed collapse. When I came over last time, I started walking up the sidewalk thinking "is this the right house?". As soon as I got to your driveway, there was no mistaking that it was your house. The bass was rattling the door. Two more subs down there? Insanity. Can't wait to hear it.

Hahaha. I thought this was a judgement free zone. Guess not. Lol. Well I had to give you a reason to come back, so...... two more 18's!

My theater is looking forward to the get together. Things have gotten interesting since adding the two 18's and getting the new avr. Somewhere between those two events, the bass actually has me worried. It's so powerful now, during heavy bass scenes, I keep thinking about my neighbors, and looking for all the new nasty sounds my house is making. I now have to leave the toilet seat up on the 1st floor because it bounces up and down violently, causing noise in the basement. Lots of fun, of course. I'm seriously thinking about sealing all the subs. I have so much output now, I think I wouldn't miss anything sealing the subs. I'll leave the system ported for now. Can't wait to share it with the local crew.

LOL. Eight iNukes. that's awesome.

You should take some measurements, especially if your thinking of trying them sealed up.

It gets windy in there now. lol
I will be getting into measuring soon. I know I've been saying that for a year now, but I'm hoping to get a little help in the measuring category at my gtg. I have all the equipment now. Just need to dial it in.

yeah I bet you can tame all that extra bass with EQ and keep them ported. That way you keep the distortion super low.

I will have the setup tuned by ear, and we can measure the results! And Brian, I owe you a thank you, these last two ds4's had your name and address on them. I didn't get them directly from you, but I'm glad you brought them home to MI.

HAHA. I was telling Jeremy I kind of regret selling them now LOL. Glad they all ended up in good homes though.

What do you regret? Do you feel you wanted ds4's instead of the pa460's? Looking for stronger low end? I'll tell you, I'm jealous you power all your six subs off one inuke.

I think I want to go with smaller enclosures. want to be able to fit a bigger couch in the back row but also want to still be able to put subs in the back corners. My room is small enough that I think sealed would still work well. 18's up front and a couple 15's in back.

I see. I think about that too with smaller cabs. I really hope I'm near the end of my sub building adventure though. Been through a few different setups.
I can't wait to hear your new setup. Couple more weeks!

Well, it takes about three of these VBSS's to equal one of your subs so even if I go down to two UM18's I should still have similar output. So I don't really have to go to sealed. I would rather not actually. I will probably go with two UM18's in Cyclops enclosures up front to start.

Want me to see if the carpenters that cut my boxes will cut two more for you? It would probably be 200 bucks labor plus the wood. There work was excellent. Very accurate cuts.

Yep. That's them. They cut all the window bracing and driver holes to?

How deep are the enclosures when assembled?

Thanks

No, I cut the window bracing cutouts as well as the driver holes.
The final dimensions are 48" wide by 24" tall by 18" deep. And depending on how you assemble the panels, you can make right or left ports.

That's fine. Better if done myself anyway to make sure the driver fits.
