Now that it's less than a week from release ... any way to tell where we should see it? Some place with HFR for sure?

Definitely want to see it in HFR and if possible in Atmos sound.

Forgot all about HFR...Already booked a ticket at Burbank for Thurs at 7. Might check it out at Arclight on the 20th too if everyones in. Anyone know if the Arclight in La Jolla has HFR in their premium auditorium? Would prefer to stay close to La Jolla instead of driving up to LA twice lol.

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

It has Atmos + HFR... a least it did in the past. It's been awhile since I've been there TBH.

It's definitely 11:55am.

Row J is where a few of us have seats reserved.

Double check which you are selecting online if you want to come.

It's Sherman Oaks Arclight. Make sure you select the HFR version. 11:55am on Saturday the 20th.

The Arclight websight doesn't seem to indicate Atmos for that show.

Yeah I know. I don't understand why they changed it.

When I looked it listed HFR and Atmos sound for the first two days of showings and then the rest didn't. No other showings for any other movie list Atmos at all. I don't see why they would remove it.

I guess we will find out tomorrow.

Hope you guys have a great time. I was planning on joining you --especially since it's The Hobbit -- but decided to get a Xmas tree. Delivery is scheduled for tonight and the only day I can trim it is tomorrow, Saturday.

So, everyone have a good time at the movie and a great holiday!

When in doubt call the theater. According to Arclight, it is in Dolby Atmos in Sherman Oaks.

There are HFR shows at 11am and 11:55. Unless they have two Atmos equipped auditoriums, I don't see how "All HFR's" could be in Atmos. The 5pm, 8pm and 11pm shows are clearly marked Atmos.

The Cheesecake Factory doesn't open until 11am. There's an IHOP down the street on Ventura.

Hmm. I don't think we will have enough time to go there, park, eat and then park again at the Galleria.

We should still meet there and maybe look elsewhere of we wanna eat before the movie.

Yup. Movie was kind of disappointing as was the Atmos mix.

HFR was .... interesting. Not sure if I like it but I didn't hate it either.

Was good seeing it with everybody and hanging out at breakfast.

High frame rate.

The Hobbit trilogy was filmed and presented at 48fps. Only a small amount of cinemas were playing the full 48fps and those are designated as 'HFR'.
