FWIW the next officially-penciled-in date for LAAVA is June 10, although there's certainly flexibility to bounce around a bit if necessary. The weekend of June 3 is the LA Audio Show, and I'll be out of town June 10 (but certainly you can do this GTG without me if June 10 works best).

Absolutely awesome Jeff! I'll let you know when we have a date nailed down.

I'm not sure @chucky7 will be able to resist bringing the Cap 1400 to show what it can do! Personally, I would like to compare & contrast the 118 & 1400.

Guys, I usually do the Auto Show by Sat. night if at all (I skipped last year's).

How about late Sunday morning or early afternoon, June 4th?

I live just East of Yorba Linda in Corona near the Dam (71 & 91 FWYs).

I will still bring my JTR Cap 1400.

Please also invite dsrussell, one of the member I respect the most here. He also lives in Corona and owns sealed PSA subs.

I am going to start a separate thread for the GTG. Specifically for compiling measurements and opinions.

@Jeff Permanian of JTR is sending a Cap 118! Brian Ding of @Rythmik Audio is sending a FV18! (You are off the hook for the FV15HP Kyzer)

I want to confirm that June 4 is good date for everyone. Start around 11AM - until whenever.

@Scott Simonian
@mikela
@Ese
@Peterc613 (Danley DTS-10?)
@asarose247 (DIY?)

@bulls (PSA V1801)
@Keyser Soze
@dschulz

I will have a CEA-2010 rig setup if you want to bring your sub and perform the testing.

decisions, decisions, decisions . .

I think my Lowarhorn cab is the lightest maybe only 250# +

wrangling Max V2 and V3 at 300+, ,not likely with out some serious help

not counting the dual PA 460 MBM thing at about 100#, how trifling . .

I have the truck but I'd hate to think of unloading it, (Lhorn)
and then there is a terrain factor for the dolly I have it on . .
there is a refrigerator dolly that helps alot

it takes a neutric connection,
would testing from the back of a truck matter ?

Well, there should be plenty of hands to help unload & reload. I have double entry doors (6ft) and a wide open path to the den. I plan to grab an extra furniture dolly from Harbor Freight.

what about stairs? what may be needed for ramps, and stuff like that for keeping your house together, no scraping of things,

that kind of stuff has to be anticipated . .

I was also thinking about being there on Saturday.

Since it's at/near LAX, I was thinking for those going, that we meet at Big Wok in my neck of the woods for dinner. Some of you might remember that place.

Speaking of shows, I was looking at Hotel reservations for CEDIA September 5-7, 2017. This year it's located in San Diego which is close enough to drive and save the money on airfare. The CEDIA negotiated rates for all the nearby hotels range from approx $200 - $280 per night. However, I found a nice hill side home for rent 3.9 miles from the Convention Center with a Mission Valley view. It has two bedrooms/one bath, sleeps three (queen, 2 singles) full kitchen cable/wifi and rents for only $180/night. If three LA people go to CEDIA for 3 nights/4 days that's only $180 per person for lodging. Is there anyone else interested (Mark, Ray, Scott, Sanjay...)?

I would like to keep the June 4th date. I have received a lot of interest. I plan to have as many subs tested (CEA-2010) prior to Sunday. I will be testing Friday and Saturday for anyone who want to come by who can't make it Sunday.
@Peterc613 feel free to drop by anytime if you want to test the Danley and leave it with me over that weekend for the rest of the guys to hear.

We have a very exciting lineup of subs. I am working on the GTG thread now. I will post a link to it here.

Who is in favor of moving the GTG to June 10?
June 17?

If we move it it should allow for some special guests. I will check on their availability.

June 4th is still on for those who want to see the CEA-2010 testing, bring a sub to be tested, and/or just hang out. I would like to have most if not all of the CEA-2010 texting before the GTG. At the GTG I would like to have scorecards as well as blind tests (sealed vs ported for example).

I am open to all suggestions.
