quickly, i had a samsung 50" DLP (HLR5067W) that best buy is buying back because they have been unable to fix. I have to purchase a new one from Best Buy...with roughly 2200 as a budget, but willing to pay a little if need be...

I am looking at DLP-LED or LCD. I am concerned after all the problems with the DLP that i had and the DLP's are phasing out. possible models are...

DLP-LED
-Samsung HL67A750 or HL61A750

LCD
-LG 52LG70 (52")
-Sharp LC52D85U (52")

Samsung dlps are being discontinued this year. I'd recommend a Samsung LCD over rear projection, fewer problems and repairs. People seem to like the A650 series and up from there, depending on how far your amount to spend will take you.

LG and Sharp LCD's are not as good as Samsung.

Check the link for A650 owner's info:

you have to look at what you are going to spend on a lcs for what your getting...

what kind of problems did you have with your last dlp?

i have looked all over at the new 61a750 and haven't seen that many if any bad reviews of it..i am looking at that or the 58" panny but its alittle more then double the price thats whats got me leaning towards the 61a750
